Free Music Review: Not Necessairly The Best...But V.Good! Hit: 4 Stars
To be honest with you, most of my fave songs by the club aren't the ones they released as singles, which is essentially what this album is. If you were longing to clear some record space I'd reccommend picking this baby up, otherwise stick to listening to their full albums for a more varied S Club sound instead of the generic stream of music they seem to release as singles. The first four songs are from the first album, "S Club". BIAB is the ever poppy uplifting song that first skyrocketed them, followed by 'S Club Party' a fun song that introduces the band members a bit more and everyone remembers the "S" part of the dance during the chorus right? "Two In A Million" is perhaps one of their best ballads with a nice mid-tempo beat, followed by "You're My Number 1", a uber poppy motown type song. The second album "7" spawned some more hits for the kids, starting with their 2nd tv season theme song "Reach", yet another uplifting song about reaching your goals, although it kinda reminds me of Super Mario music..."Natural" shines through amongst all these songs as Rachel stars in this interestingly-worded pop song. "Never Had A Dream Come True" also tops my list with dreamy lyrics and music and a really nice video to match. We then have songs from the third album, "Sunshine" which boasted a wider variety of songs. "Don't Stop Movin" was the first release and a bit more dancey then a lot of other songs with synthesizer beats in tact. While "Have You Ever" is a nice number, I find it a bit boring compared to most of the songs on here. "You" is another theme song for the group, and the key uplifting song a la 'BIAB' and 'Reach'. Its a bit motown and cheesy, but catchy all the same. "Alive" is from the fourth album/soundtrack for their movie, Seeing Double. Its very dancey and disco-like similar to the beats of "Don't Stop Movin" Unfortunately, "Love Ain't Gonna Wait..." Follows this same theme of over the top disco-ness, which gives the impression the groups fourth album is nothing but a smathering of cheesy disco and 80's beats. "Say Goodbye" is a nice farewell from the group that could be used as a graduation song or other goodbye song in general...although it tries to disguise itself as a love song. "Everybody Get Pumped" is classic s club, catchy, but ab it cheesey. "Bring The House Down" is a cover I think...either this one or another song of theirs, and has a great boogie vibe to it. All in all, S Club should release an album of the "Best Songs You've Never Heard" aka the tracks sang on their show but never released, so single-buyers will never hear it if they don't have the albums. While this cd is a nice well-rounded collection of Club hits, I think I'll stick to my albums.

Free Music Review: Some come and some go.... Hit: 3 Stars
My daughter wanted this CD so bad after hearing it at my nieces house. I found it for about $3-4 so I say it was worth every penny because after the newness wore off, it hasn't been played. Although I think she has severalk songs on her Ipod. I would definitely look to get used copies of music --- it comes and goes like the wind ... especially for kids.
