Free Music Review: Not satisfying enough- Album makes you want more!
Hit: 4 Stars

While this CD from the now defunct band S Club, is not a bad CD at all, the album has moments when it seems to do nothing more than mimic top 40 hits from a year ago. This new S Club album is more mature than their past work, and almost better. The main reason why CD didnt get 5 stars because it wasn't satisfying enough. The music was so good, that at the end of the CD I was left hoping for a hidden bonus track.

All of the songs are decent except for the S Club version of "The Greatest", I had heard Scene 23 do that song and it was one of my favorite songs, but the S Club has made the song very bland, their voices just aren't suited for the song.

Another of the album's weakest points are the lyrics which songs such as "Dance" ("Let the music take you over/Let the beat become your lover/You can't stop it, baby/It's your life") show how hard the S Club was trying to have a more mature, and more of a club reputation, which never happened.

Although this CD might not have ever made the top 10 in the US, this album is still very good, which "Do It Till' We Drop", "Don't Stop Movin'", "Gangsta Love (A song which has potential as a hit in the US, although the lyrics aren't impressive)", "Have You Ever", "You(A song with potential to be a hit on MTV)", and "Alive" all demonstrate.

In total this CD is pure fun and enjoyment with catchy tunes (Although they should have put another song from their British CD "Seeing Double" on this album), and it would be more impressive if they started writing their own songs and not just adding a lyric here and there, and then claiming they really helped write the songs. Hopefully they will release their greatest hits album in the USA in the near future.

Don't Stop Movin'- A dance pop song, with a bit of a shout-a-long chorus
Whole Lotta' Nothing- Fusion of R&B and Latin music with a throbbing bass, all in all it's still a pop song that if you'd heard any of S Club's old albums you'd recognize as one of their songs.
Do It Till We Drop- Swirly, dizzy sounding dance song, absolutely infectious, *****
You- Puts a bit of glitter on their old bubbly sound *****
Have You Ever- A ballad with very powerful vocals by Jo *****
Gangsta' Love- Smooth R&B Techno hybrid, very soothing to the ears.
Alive- The upgraded version of Don't Stop Movin', has a bit more bounce but still very sophisticated, focuses more on the beat than Don't Stop Movin' did. *****
Show Me Your Colors- R&B, Every bit of the song is perfect, the chorus sounds so uplifting *****
Dance- Very beat driven pop groove
The Greatest- The song is good, but is sung very bland, pop over a hip hop beat.
Sunshine- Airy, Light guitar pop, beach groove.
Dance Dance Dance- Glittery, Electronic, clever, dance song with attitude. This song just shines. *****
Who Do You Think You Are?- Melodramatic, has a dance beat, sounds a little clubbish.
Straight From The Heart- Relaxing, Calming, sort of ballad that you hear at weddings.

Free Music Review: Better than before.
Hit: 4 Stars

Ok, so i am in fact an 80's hair metal fan, but i do like S Club (only god knows why). I have all their albums and i like this one the move of all of them. it seems that with each CD they get better...to bad the broke up. but anyways, onto my snappy and barely whitty comments on each song...
1. Don't Stop Movin' - title track (duh), good at first and then after listening to it ad nauseum it can get annoying, listen with care. 8/10
2. Whole Lotta Nothin' - at first i hated this song, but after a few listens it grew on me, gotta give this one some time. 7/10
3. Do It Till We Drop - One of my two favourites (cus i can dance to it...i AM a dancer). loved it from the first listen, it's nice to dance to with a good steady pace. 10/10
4. You - i really like this one, it's also good to dance to and hoppy. 9/10
5. Have You Ever - the first slow one on the cd. this was also a single, a good one in my opinion. first time i listened to it i got a small tear (stupid emotional relationships and sad songs). 9/10
6. Gangsta Love - when i read the title i was like "what? did they get Dr. Dre to co-write?" ha, but yea, it's not quite rap like the title implies. this one also took some getting used to, it doesn't sound like anything S Club had ever done before. 7/10
7. Alive - i reeeaaally like this one, it makes me happy, very pro-selfesteem. 9/10
8. Show Me Your Colours - hmm, don't have anything snappy to say about this one, it's decent, fairly upbeat. 8/10

9. Dance - Ok, this one is not that good. it's good up until the chorus anyways, i hate that stupid chorus. 6/10
10. The Greatest - Ok, look, so many people write these things and say how much they love this song. IT'S HORRIBLE! what are they on? the lyric "are you up for roller bladin'?" it makes me cringe! i could have done without this one, by far. 1/10
11. Sunshine - they sort of redeem themselves on this one. it's a really nice and happy song, but slow. 9/10
12. Dance, Dance, Dance - ok, two songs with practicly the same name? well doesn't matter cus i love this one! this is my other favourite. i love dancing the the one the most. 10/10
13. Who Do You Think You Are? - um...was this on the soundtrack to A.I. or something? this is definatly a weird one for S Club. 8/10
14. Straight From The Heart - Ah, it's always good to end off with a soft, heart renching song. good ending, guys. 9/10

P.S. don't hate me for my thoughts, hate me for writing them down ;).

Free Music Review: S Club has said farewell with a cd hit!
Hit: 4 Stars

S Club (7) made their premiere in the late 90's with the debut cd S Club. This was when they were S Club 7. They had their hit "Bring It All Back" which lead to a hit tv series S Club 7 in Miami (Miami 7). Then they released the cd's "7", Sunshine (Europe only), and "Don't Stop Movin" (Seeing Double). They also made a blockbuster movie (Seeing Double). The group called it quits in May of 2003. Paul (former member) quit before the release of "Don't Stop Movin". This is why the group retitled themselves as just plain S Club. This was a great cd. However, it lacks some great songs from the Europe release which has many more songs. Here is my opinion of the U.S. release:
Don't Stop Movin-5/5 Great party song
Whole Lotta Nothin-4/5 Good and catchy
Do It Til We Drop-3/5 corny
You-4.75/5 Great
Have You Ever-5/5 Excellent lyrics
Ghansta Love-5/5 One of my fave S Club songs.
Alive-5/5 Great theme song to last season of the S Club tv shows
Show Me Your Colours(Colors)-5/5 My favorite song from S Club!
Dance-5/5 Awesome!
The Greatest-3/5 ok
Sunshine-4/5 Pretty good
Dance, Dance, Dance-2/5 This song annoys me
Who Do You Think You Are?-5/5 great song from their Blockbuster
Straight From The Heart-3/5 Ok

If you liked my review go check out the cd!

Free Music Review: almost perfect but 2 problems....
Hit: 4 Stars

I love s club 7 to death!!!! they are one of my favourite groups to ever come out... this LP is not different from their past releases...

the problem with this disc is that TINA never really sings and i wanted her to shine a little bit on this LP since this is their last release.... there is no doubt in my mind that TINA BARRETT is my favourite member and she has that quality to be up to par with jo and rachel.

and another thing this disc does not have the best vocal song by JO ever!!!!!! 'let me sleep' is the best song jo has ever sung... it shows her softer side... JO can really sing a ballad...

'the greatest', 'gangsta love', 'you', 'dance, dance, dance', and 'show me your colours' are probably the best songs on the album...

if you like S Club this is a no brainer that you have to buy it...

3.5 stars

Free Music Review: I'm (Don't Stop) Movin' to England!!!!! American Music stinx
Hit: 4 Stars

America is very shallow in music taste. All I here around here is old music because they think it's better. S-Club did not even get off the ground here. So why the heck was it when I sang "Don't Stop Movin'" for Karaoke" people went crazy! I thought I was the only one who probally liked this. This song blew the doors off of EVERYTHING on this album and everything on the radio in 2003. Even a guy who hates Britney Spears attested. "I LOVE THAT SONG"

I am sick and tired of America's shallow taste in Oldies, Rock and Hip/Hop. I want more stuff like this. Now while S-Club are not my favorite because their material is more aimed at Aaron Carter's crowd, they sound pretty good. It's just that they hit the Jackpot with this song.
Give me more pop.
