Free Music Review: The first half is good...
Hit: 3 Stars

After the success off "I Wanna Have Some Fun" Samantha released this album in 1991. The first half is definitely very cool due to its dancey Full Force tracks. "Pants Stay On" is a thumper about not having sex, which, ironically, is followed by a medley of disco classics "More, More, More" & "Love To Love You Baby." The medley is a great dance song and it's "classic" Sam. "Don't Wait Up" is in the same vein as "I Wanna Have Some Fun" with Sam telling her man that she's going out to have fun, but the beat is different and the song is great for any club. "Just One Night" is very slow, but the end is humorous with Sam talking with her man. "Pleasure Zone" is a fan-favorite but I never really liked it, it's very rock/dance which doesn't do much for me, but others may like it. You also get the original version of "Another Woman (Too Many People)" which is cute because Sam raps the verses in that cute cockney way. The rest of the album lags off. They are all rock/pop except for "Saving It Up" which would have fit in better at the beginning of the CD. The reason for the first half being dance and the second half being rock is because Sam's record company wanted another "I Wanna Have Some Fun" and Sam wanted a more rock feel, and this is what came out of their dispute - a so-so album.

Free Music Review: Some Great Tracks
Hit: 3 Stars

The hardest thing for a person to do is to make them eat their words. I might have to do that here.

Samantha Fox's "Just One Night" does in fact have some songs that are a snooze, which I stated in a review for "21st Century Fox", but there are also some great highlights.

"Just One Night", the song, is an ok ballad with a few quircks at the end as her and her love intrest joke around about his "problems". Cute and sexy.

"Don't Cry Wolf" is a great upbeat dance number. Maybe the best on the set.

"What You See Is What You Get" is a good little rock number, which the Foxy one aims for few of here with duds like "Pleasure Zone". "Spirit Of America" is a track with guitars that rocks. Who knew the British Bombshell was red, white and blue?

By far the best track is "Nothing You Can Do, Nothing You Can Say", the almost tearful ballad with pop and rock grooves not to mention background singers that are not being overused for once on the album (as they are in the awful rap version of "Another Woman (Too Many People)"). Awesome vocals and also cheers to Sam for cowriting the best track on the album, and the only one truly worht shelling out the dough for it.

"Hurt Me! Hurt Me!" is also a good track with a lots of potentail and a funny stroy with Sam in the club and Full Froce trying to get into her pants, "But The Pants Stay On".

All and all a good listing of some songs and a few hard rocking duds and dance numbers that jsut don't click like "Saving It Up". But enjoyable for it's highlights.

PS For a good version of "Another Woman", try on of the Greatest Hits Sets.

Free Music Review: Sexy new beats
Hit: 5 Stars

On her fourth studio album, Samantha Fox provides more of the sexy dance beats her fans have come to expect. "Just One Night" is a very steamy midnight jam which should appeal to most R&B fans, while her cover of Donna Summer's classic "Love to Love you Baby" shows her at her moaning best. Other potential smash hits include "Another Woman" (check out the remix by Full Force) and "But the Pants stay on". Great album!

Free Music Review: Samantha Fox "Just one night"
Hit: 4 Stars

Like that album, especially "Just one night" which is the definitely the most stimulating song I know (put it in when you get romantic with your partner). Also "Don't cry wolf"is good and really speedy. "Nothing you do nothing you say" is great (also written by Sam herself)."Spirit of America" gives a real- you can reach for the stars- feeling. Also "Another woman" is a smash. All other songs are very nice, too. Like it a lot!!
