Free Music Notes for Little VoiceFree Music Review: i like the little voice Hit: 4 Starsi first listened to this effort in the atl airport killing time between flights----i didnt get it then--mainly because i couldnt play it without device as it was....but i did listen again and pulled the trigger----then i started hearing the aired song on the airwaves on the local narrow-minded marconi's......this is fresh and clean----had not heard of her till now----but a splash has been made----an idol winner she would have been---it just took her a shorter time than to put up with the dog and pony show that is simon's tribute to himself.............finis
Free Music Review: not too bad! Hit: 3 Starsa lot of her songs sound just like her "one hit" everyone has heard of. Sarah B has a sweet "little voice" and this is good, relaxing music to put on after a long day at work. Not a lot of variety in terms of tempo or type of music she does, but, it's not really necessary.
Free Music Review: Outstanding artist Hit: 5 StarsWho could know that a voice on a TV commercial could imprint itself into your head and heart. I watched the commercial until I could read the name of the artist playing the piano and singing. I did a search and realized that I was a little off in my spelling, but it was well worth the research. I've been listening to this CD over and over again. It digs into my head. Lyrical and throaty Sara has my heart.
Free Music Review: a great album Hit: 4 StarsIn these times of terrible, crappy, who cares?, no talent artists, it's nice to see an album by an artist that can actually sing and write a decent song. Instead of overpowering the senses with tons of production and effects, Sara CAN actually sing and she does so beautifully with an album full of nicely crafted tunes and heartfelt performances. In comparison to all the crap that is out there and the daily bombardment of non-music and booty-crap, this is a great album.
Free Music Review: Fun, frisky CD Hit: 5 StarsLots of reviews for this album here, but what it comes down to is this. The songs rock...Sara's got a knack for lyrics, she can flat-out sing (the high note she nails in the bridge for Come Back Soon raised the hairs on my arms), the songs have clever arrangements, and the whole thing ties itself up into a ridiculously good album that I was surprised to absolutely love. "Morningside" is a freight train of a pop song, with a killer beat that every so often relaxes for just a measure or two and then thumps back when it's not expected, and "Love On The Rocks" is brilliantly written with sublime harmonies. Towards the end, there's a point where the harmony lines vamp down with Sara's lead, but keep following where you'd expect them to drop, and it's just the sexiest thing ever. "One Sweet Love" and "Gravity" are beautiful ballads. If there's a weak song, it's "Fairytale", just because it comes off a little too centered in the gimmick, but still, it's cleverly written and you can't blame her for having it on the CD. Love it all. Can't wait for the next one.
