Free Music Notes for Little VoiceFree Music Review: The future of piano rock Hit: 5 Stars
I first heard Sara Bareilles in a free song of the week on I-Tunes, the song was "Love Song". Well, it blew me away. It was instantly one of the best songs I heard this year and I was impatient for the rest of the album to come out. Well, I was well pleased to hear the rest of this album. She has a great talent, the songs fit together well and her voice is incredible. She is reminiscent of Fiona Apple in her voice style but builds on that with the instrumental accompaniment to the songs, which complement her well. If you want real new music, this is it.
Free Music Review: Absolutely Amazing Hit: 5 Stars
I first heard Sara Bareilles on the radio with the song "Love Song" and instantly loved her voice and the song. Since I was going to shop anyway I decided to pick it up. This album was worth every single cent.
Her voice is absolutely gorgeous.
I have a very wide taste in music but I am still rather picky so an album getting five stars from me is a rarity. This album is worth every star as well.
I highly recommend this album. It's one of those cd's that you can listen to over and over again.
Free Music Review: I love this cd! Hit: 5 Stars
As soon as I heard the song 'Love Song', I had to find out who sang it, & buy her cd. Sarah Bareilles is an amazing talent, & the cd is one of the best I've ever found. I love finding true 'artists' - in addition to her unique voice, she writes her own music & plays the piano. The cd is a great mix of fun songs & bluesy sad songs. My favorite is still 'Love Song', but I also love 'Fairy Tales', & honestly, I love the rest of the songs too.
I can't wait to see her as the opening act with Maroon 5 & Counting Crows in Jones Beach in July!
Free Music Review: Excellent writing and production Hit: 5 Stars
I was recently in a Nashville recording studio with A-list session musicians, and they were all buzzing about this album. Usually that's a sure sign of commercial failure (lol), but in this case good taste and success appear to be marching hand in hand.
The songwriting is honest. The melodies are interesting. There are moments where she sounds like Fiona Apple, but with a little less angst. The production appropriately frames the songs and Sara's voice.
If you like singer/songwriter-y music, you'll like Sara Bareilles.
Free Music Review: TRANSCENDENT & INSPIRATIONAL Hit: 5 Stars
Since purchasing Little Voice a month ago, I have played it almost every single day. I am a lover/collector of many genres of music but it is rare in fact I don't think I have ever bought the first cd of an artist and I love EVERY SINGLE SONG on the cd. I cannot get enough of her musicality in both lyrics and arrangements, and I appreciate her including song lyrics because it takes it to another level for me as I resonate with so many of them. She delivers right through in every way, nothing is overdone.
This cd is a lifetime treasure!
