Free Music Review: Every song is just great, but Gravity and Love song are worth it alone

I bought this CD for my husband for our anniversary. He worked with Sara a couple times at UCLA Spring Sing where one year she sang Gravity and won the all around prize. We can't say we were surprised when she hit it big. Love Song and Gravity are worth the price of the CD alone (we usually follow the 3-song rule when buying a CD, but even just these two do it in this case), but the other songs are all great as well, so splurge on the whole thing, not just those downloads. And on top of being incredibly talented, she's a super nice person, so you can feel great about contributing to her success! Enjoy the CD.Free Music Review: blown away

I actually bought Sara Bareilles's cd when there was a promotional offer. I was only going to purchase Colbie Caillat's cd but amazon was also offering Sara Bareilles's cd for an additional 10 dollars. So I went out on a limb and bought both. When I listened to Sara's cd I was blown away, I fell in love with her songs. I can't help but listen to her songs over and over everyday. To be honest I'm glad I bought both cd's even though I hadn't originally planned to, I listen to Sara's cd more than I listen to Colbie's. This cd is definitely worth your money!! I didn't play this album for the first year that I had it. I bought it for "Love Song" and had gotten tired of hearing it on the radio. I assumed (you know what they say) that the rest would be pop treacle. Boy was I wrong!
This album is sweet and spicy and multi-layered. It's jazzy and bluesy and sophisticated and intelligent. Just when you think you know where it's going it takes you in a completely different direction, much better than the one that you anticipated. If you can get through the whole thing without hitting the "repeat" button, you're not really listening.

I heard Sara Bareilles on yahoo music, and was instantly hooked. So often, I like just one or two songs on a CD, so I feel like I've wasted my money. This was not the case with Little Voice. I love every single song on the CD. It's a great blend of upbeat and chill music, and her voice has a wonderful jazz/blues quality to it. I love the melodies, but, as dumb as this may sound, I love the lyrics just as much. They're almost like poetry if you read them on their own. Anyone who is a fan of the singer/songwriters like John Mayer, Josh Kelley and even Amy Winehouse will love this CD.Free Music Review: Long time coming,,,

Sara has had the talent for many years to create someting like this, and the recording lables are behind the times as far as signing Sara is concerned. Someone as creative and talented as Sara should have had an album out 5 years ago. Never mind the delay in release, this album is the jackpot in up coming artists. The voice, the lyrics, the rhythm and the feeling all mesh into twelve tracks called "Little Voice". This album is a must have for those of you who like jazz piano, strong powerful female voices, and music you can listen to over and over without it ever getting old.
