Free Music Notes for EdenFree Music Review: Pure Delight! Hit: 5 Stars
Please disregard all of the snippy, poopy little comments of the Amazon.Com "editorial reviewer" (such as "The result, bless her heart, may be the invention of a whole new form of kitsch.") That reviewer needs to go find a life somewhere--and maybe consider some serious counseling. Make no mistake, this album is absolutely wonderful. Brightman's voice is the closest thing to that of an angel you're likely to hear this side of heaven. When a friend recently loaned me Ms. Brightman's newest album, "La Luna," it was the first time I'd ever heard her sing, and I decided to purchase both that album and "Eden" right away. "La Luna" is a great album, too, but I have to say I like "Eden" better. "Eden" shows Ms. Brightman's tremendous range and versatility; with songs like her lovely rendition of "Dust in the Wind" (Brightman outdid Kansas!) and "Only an Ocean Away," she demonstrates a sure grasp of pop music. In "Nella Fantasia," Brightman puts words to a beautiful piece of music by Ennio Morricone (from the soudtrack of "The Mission"). The result, again, is very, very beautiful. In a another great track, Ms. Brightman adds words to a favorite classical piece of mine by the composer Albinoni. Ms. Brightman, you're a marvel and a delight. I'm beginning to think you could sing to me from a soup can label or the telephone book and it would still be sheer heaven for me. By all means, buy the album "Eden " (and "La Luna," too, if you can) and then just sit back and enjoy. You're in for a real treat.

Music Review: Quite possibly Brightman's best Hit: 5 Stars
Having only discovered the world of classical crossover this year, it wasn't long before Sarah Brightman, the English soprano who crashed the scene with her career defining performance in Llyod Weber's "The Phantom Of The Opera," registered under my radar.
I have listened to many of Brightman's albums, from her latest "Harem" to her other works such as "Time To Say Goodbye," "La Luna" and "Dive." I believe that "Eden" is her best to date, and stands as a collection that anyone, classical fan or no, can enjoy.
A warm, hypnotic, and touching mix of operatic pieces, pop covers and almost electronica inspired beats, I have yet to find another album that matches what Brightman has accomplished. Neither Charlotte Church of Haley Westenra have matched her artistic vision and flawless arrangments, and I doubt they ever will.
Stand out tracks include "Eden," "Deliver Me" "Nessun Dorma" and "Only An Ocean Away." It is here that we see what Eden is truly about, and hear Brightman at the very top of her vocal ability. The rest of the album features many treats as well, though these are the selections I find myself playing over and over again.
In conclusion, I hope you decide to give a more low key genre a try, and I certainly hope you buy this album. I hope that Brightman will produce more albums like Eden in the future, for they truly have the capacity to stand the testiment of time!
Free Music Review: I hate foreign languages in music,,,, however, WOW! Hit: 5 Stars
I love this CD "EDEN" the first time I heard it. I bought it the Day she appeared in concert in Denver. I had to scramble for tickets that day. I did not buy this CD before then because A> Amazon Real Player does no justice to here voice and B> I hate foreign languages in music (thus hate opera). Nevertheless, because she came in town, I broke down and bought it and played it for my wife and mom. My mom commented that the live performance was better. She believes the music background on the CD drowns out Sarah's Voice (Sarah is awesome live). I am the audiophile in the family who chooses all the audio equipment because of it. I thought the live performance was fantastic, yet listen to this Eden CD more than "Say Goodbye" CD emphatically because of its Musical background. Talk about difference in taste within the same musical person. I love her older music much better as a fan of hers, yet couldn't put down the "Lloyd webber collection" for weeks on end (but I am over that now, mmmm). I highly recommend this CD if you love here voice and enjoy being ENTRANCED by the music. I cruise my favorite places on the NET often while listening to music. EDEN is one of my favorites CD's. I also enjoy Enigma and Moodswings when I am in this mood regarding music so you can get a taste of where I am coming from (EDEN is by far the more mellow). Take care :-)
Free Music Review: Absolutely Amazing!! Hit: 5 Stars
Five stars: rather high, I know. But this album EARNED it. I was totally blown away by this album! This was my first Brightman experience aside from a few snippets of songs I'd heard from "Phantom of the Opera" and let me say, she's fantastic!Sarah has a unique sound: blending pop, New Age, and opera together in a strangely satisfying sound. Her voice is amazing, clear and strong, and to quote the old cliche "She has the voice of an angel." I'd always rolled my eyes at that statment before, but it really is quite true. Not only is Sarah's voice beautiful, but the orchestrations are astounding, as are the "backup chants." Songs like "In Paradisum" "Eden" "Only an Ocean Away" "Scene D'Amour" and "Il Mio Cuore Va" send shivers up and down my spine. "Il Mio Cuore Va" as much as I hate to admit is a beautiful song. I hated "Titanic" and Celine's majorly overplayed "My Heart Will Go On" so I wasn't sure if I'd like this track or not. It is a wonderful song... move over Celine... WAY over. There's not a song I hit the skip button on, it really is that good. All that said, Sarah Brightman is spectacular, and I recommend her to a fan of ANY genre of music, she can appeal to most anyone, and will definitley add a new flavor to your music collection.
