Sarah is one of the most amazing artists working today. I saw her in concert in Portland, Oregon and was blown away by the beauty of her music and her voice, not to mention the incredible talent of her entire band. Afterglow Live is a great follow-up. Anyone who is a real Sarah fan will love this latest offering. Personally, I can't get enough of her music. As for the previous reviewer, I don't know what their problem is. Some people seem to think that making money is a sin. Sarah is an extremely talented artist and I hope she makes a bundle from that talent. If she wants to copy protect the songs, who am I to say she shouldn't. If I were an artist, I would copyright and protect my product from here to Sunday. I say just buy the CD, enjoy the music, and be thankful Sarah McLachlan is out there writing songs we can all fall in love with.Free Music Review: A charming and wonderful artist! Sarah McLachlan is a delight to listen to. I got this cd after buying her Rarities, B-Sides, and Other Stuff cd. Her voice is very much alive and floating on every song! Not one song is run down or tired sounding because of worn out vocals! Sarah's vocals never seem to tire of singing. She has an excruciatingly gorgeous and luscious voice, full of expression and tenderness. This is a collection of some of her prettiest and best songs, on which her voice has shone quite bright indeed. The fact that this cd is live only makes the songs that much more breathtaking and memorable, not to mention Sarah's melodies that much more likely to become forever entangled in your heart strings. This captures Sarah at the peak of her carrer so far. Every song an Enhancement of the studio versions. The sound is rich and full, every instrument clear and present. Wonderful performances by all band members. Standouts: Ashwin Sood on drums (her husband): Sean Ashby and Luke Doucet on guitars. And the voice! Sarah has a vocal and visual presence here to rival Billie Holiay (tho no connection musically).Superb production at stage and recorded levels. Copliment to the artist's music and moods. Sarah captures spititual highs and technical brilliance here. Subtle and powerful. Play the DVD thru a nice sound/video system and and feel like you are there. Those familiar with her music; nuff said. Those looking to discover a show of intense musicianship and message: look no further.Free Music Review: McLachlan Live = Amazing

I was at the specific concert that this DVD was filmed at (Afterglow tour when she was in Toronto). All I can say is Sarah McLachlan is absolutely amazing live. There are no words to describe her performances. Not only that she has a beautiful voice, etc. but the concert experience is amazing because she doesn't just deliver each song as it is on the CD. There are variations, buildups, climaxes...just amazing points in the concert where you feel like you are going to explode and yell out I LOVE YOU SARAH MCLACHLAN. This DVD is a great capture of the concert and has a very good live CD that comes with it (constantly listening to it!). The extras are a little skimpy but it is definitely worth watching and McLachlan live in concert is enough to propel this to five stars.Free Music Review: Afterglow beats Mirrorball

I get more than i paid for , im deligthted with Sarah s voice, beautifull presence, and such quantity of lovely and extraordinary music (140 mins), blackbird is included also in DVD , however i was a little dissaponted here , because i always get the picture on my mind with Sarah playing her guitar and singing this song but in DVD i saw that one of her musicians plays while she sing, but no problem it sounds amazing anyway , backstage interview is an incredible bonus with some personnal aspects of Sarahs life , and 3 extra videoclips are awesome in particular "world on fire" very original concept and call for world conscience that everybody should take note, cd live is onother bonus awesome the same as concert DVD, delicious combo for Sarahs lover like me
