Reading many of the revues already posted, I guess some are put off by the obvious copying of the Stereoside album jacket. However, I'm not sure exactly what the preferences are of those who didnt like it, but personally if every CD I manage to buy for the rest of my life ALL have a picture of a hot chick's rear end on the cover, then I would be okay with it!!! As a matter of fact, I just had a thought---How about album jackets categorized by genre? Hard Rock groups--Tight Jeans___Alt Rock groups--short shorts___Progressive Rock groups___See Through Nighties---Heavy Metal groups---String Bikinis!!!! Now there's an idea!!! I might never quit browsing through my CD's. Seriously, I imagine I have 30-40 different artists in my collection from this genre, all of whom basically sound alike. I love the sound but if you picked a song from one of the CD's at random and played it for me I probably wouldnt be able to tell you which CD or artist it came from. But this Saving Abel album quite honestly has better songs, with more advanced song structure than most of the others in my collection including Stereoside. THIS ALBUM QUITE SIMPLY HAS GOOD SONGS. If you can look past the un-original cover, I strongly suggest you check it out. I know that when I put in the file with the other 30-40 similar artists, it will stand out from the crowd!!!!
Free Music Review: Saving Abel Hit: 5 Stars
I decided to check out Saving Abel's cd, because I'm going to be attending a concert where they are the opening band. When I listened to this cd, I was suprised at how good the songs were. New Tattoo, Addicted, 18 Days, Sailed Away, Beautiful Day, Out of My Face, Running from You are all pretty good songs. If more newer bands would put out albums of this quality(more than one or two good songs), I would probably listen to more newer rock. I've seen a couple of reviews that said all the songs sound the same. I'd rather have a rock cd, were all the music sounds like rock instead one song being rock, and the rest just a mixture of styles of music. Saving Abel is the best debut album since Hinder's Extreme Behavior.
Free Music Review: Where The Hell Have You Been All My Life Hit: 5 Stars
OK I have been waiting for a real ROCK band to come out for a long time. I'm talking about the real rock that if you picked up a chick in your Fire bird she would listen to it and say this guy has good taste and than rip your clothes off. I have so many great things to say about Saving Able. I just put the album on at a party and every one was like who are these guys? I was like the next big thing that's all. I had so many hot chicks dancing with me at the party Thank you Saving Able for the opp. To cut it short the Tones of the songs are the best I have heard in some time. I can put my Zune on repeat for weeks at a time in my car with this album. Hell ya bring on the party rock baby
Free Music Review: The best band you've never heard of! Hit: 5 Stars
I could go into depths about Saving Abel and how much they're self titled debut rocks! From the start with New Tattoo, all the way to the end with Beautiful You, this album personifies what rock and roll should be today! No matter what song is playing when you turn off your car, whether its the beautiful 18 Days, or the appropriately named Addicted all the way to Out Of My Face you will have it stuck in your head till you turn it back on! These guys have a great future ahead of them if they keep on keepin on... And I sure as hell hope they do!
Free Music Review: Great first CD! Hit: 5 Stars
This is a great CD, first song to last. Saw them live at the Beale Street Music Fest in Memphis in May, and they put on such a great show. Jared (lead singer) has an awesome voice, and great stage presence. The CD is well mixed too. If you like rock with good a chorus, you'll be pleased!
