Free Music Notes for Saving Abel

Free Music Review: Ok CD
Hit: 5 Stars

To make a long story short, I only like the one or two songs on the whole CD!

Free Music Review: Abel is Saved!
Hit: 5 Stars

Saving Abel is an awesome band and this is a great CD, love it all!

Free Music Review: Just Found A Gem
Hit: 4 Stars

Wow! I just found a gem. I heard Drowning(Face Down) on the radio, but the DJ didn't identify the song or band. With some research I found Saving Abel. I've just started listening to them, and I'm blown away. They deliver a mix of driving rock and gritty ballads with just a slight touch of Southern flavor (without the twang) and feature some great guitar work. In fact, the only reason that I didn't rate it 5 stars was that they could have fleshed out a bigger role for the lead guitarist. He delivers some really driving, creative riffs, but I think he's underutilized. I would love to see them live, because I think they might let that big dog eat a little more. Most people have heard Addicted, but as addictive (sorry) as that tune is, it's not the best by any stretch. Drowning, Beautiful You, New Tattoo, In God's Eyes, and Out Of My Face are in your face rock songs with gritty vocals that hold an edge without turning into a screamfest. Meanwhile, songs like She Got Over Me and Loaded Gun provide a change of pace without slowing down or compromising. For those of us old enough to remember the great Southern bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers, it's great to hear a new band with the chops to remind me of them when they were really rocking. This is a cd you must hear!

Free Music Review: Sounds like everyone else...but its still catchy
Hit: 4 Stars

While the lead singer has the same raspy sound as Hinder and Nickelback, the songs are still quite catchy. Music is in a rut right now where everything sounds the same, but its repeating the days of Kenny Rogers and Bob Seger(who to me sounded alot alike). If you like Hinder, Nickelback, Buckcherry, ect...then you will like this band.
The songs do sound generic but I catch myself humming them and its not too bad. But if you do not like the named above then dont bother because you wont like it at all. The album cover alone should scream Hinder, ect. Not all the songs on here are like Addicted...I promise. That one is just wrong and annoying.

Free Music Review: pleasantly surprised
Hit: 4 Stars

When I heard "18 days", I thought it was a new song by Sister Hazel... many are posting that he sounds country. I like them and they remind me of when Sister Hazel used to rock! Love this guys voice.
