Free Music Review: Fixed
Hit: 4 Stars

I'm more into rock, and not one who knows all that much about rap, and I know even less about Scarface, but this is extremely good. I like it because you can tell this isn't trying to be anything other than what it is. Just really good rap. The thing I notice about it most, is that it sounds fresh, and old school at the same time. I guess you could call it a "new classic". My favorite thing is the lyrics booklet covered in pot leaves that comes in it's own little ziploc bag. That's gangsta!

Free Music Review: Nice flow
Hit: 4 Stars

This is the first time I heard Scarface (Yeah, I know. I slept on this wonderful talent). Most of the artist out there today are just full garbage. This is not one of them. I bought this record not really knowing who he is, but i'm glad I did. I really liked "On My Block" and "Hevean". Dont sleep on this one. Cop it for real. I cant wait until another one drops!

Free Music Review: One of the verry few thats left...
Hit: 5 Stars

Somebody wrote a review that said "It's been a while since I was hit with something this heartfelt and sincere, and it has been hard to define what gives this album so much impact" i must agree.face is the last of a select few that hasn't given into the corperate aspect of the music indutry.always keeping his music seperate from the "bizz".this album is verry good considering the huge bar he raised for himself when he made the classic known as the diary.the fix got a considerable amount of recognition, though i must admit thats probably due to def jame marketing schemes (sorry face just being honest).BUT that doesn't take anything away from this great cd.face still a good story teller

Free Music Review: Scarface- The Fix
Hit: 4 Stars

Scarface's (B.Jordan) seventh album "The Fix" is one of the nicest to come out in 2002. Thirteen tracks with guest appearances from: Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel, Kelly Price, Nas, Faith Evans,R.Flack, D. Hathaway and W.C. Executive produced by B.Jordan and J. Prince. Track production comes from M. Dean,C.Black, Kayne West, N. Myrick, Nottz,T.Mix,T.Pizzaro,Flip and the Neptunes. Album starts with track called "Safe" which uses nice piano instrumental , short track and good intro to the album. Scarface collabrates with Jay-Z and Beanie Siegel on "Guess who Back" produced by Kayne West one of this years hottest producers, the track is nice, and Scarface and Jay-Z flow well toghther. "On My Block" is the lead single on "The Fix" and its good one and has great replay value. "What Can I Do" feat. Kelly Price is a powerfull track, and face drops deep and memorable verses. "In between us" feat. Nas follows and is another nice collabration. Neptunes one production contribution to this album is track called "Someday" feat. Faith Evans and its a good one. Scarface talks about life and death on "Heaven" feat. Kelly Price, and this continues Faces run of nice Rap/R&B collabration. W.C. drops in for the album closer "I aint the one" a nice banging track. Scarface has lived alot of the stories he tells, so he comes across real, rugged and memorable. Southern Rap at its best, an album definetly worth getting. 4.5

Free Music Review: Wow!
Hit: 5 Stars

Every so often an album comes along that culminates every reason why we listen to music. Scarface's "The Fix" is an unbelievable album that is rap music's best effort since Outkast's "Aquemini" in 1998. "The Fix" is hip-hop at its finest. Scarface uses his immense talent to create picture-perfect sceneries inside his lyrics and opens up a part of his personality that few in the hip-hop genre have ever done. What Scarface creates with "The Fix" is an album that brings together street stories and heart-felt reflections that make this one of the most personal albums ever released. Scarface has always been the "gansta of all ganstas", and this album is filled street stories that other rappers only wished they could depict in their songs, but it's when Scarface steps outside these boundaries that make "The Fix" one of hip-hops greatest albums ever!
The album starts off with "Safe" and "In Cold Blood" and you might as well be right on the street next to Scarface, that's how well crafted these songs are. Jay-Z and Beanie Sigal drop by on "Guess Who's Back" and leaves right off where Jay-Z did on "The Blueprint". The album then moves into Scarface's ode to where he group up in "My Block" that was the first single and had a great video to go along with it. "My Block" is followed nicely by "Keep Me Down". As many know Scarface and his record label are being investigated by the government and this is Scarface's clever and straightforward look into how he views the situation. The guest appearance of the year could very well be Nas' verse on "In Between Us". Nas brings a verse that sounds straight off of "The Lost Tapes" and adds to the strength of Scarface's amazing album.
Now "The Fix" moves into where it separates itself from all the albums that surround it on the shelf. "What Can I Do", "Someday", and "Heaven" are wonderful songs that Scarface uses to reflect on life, death, and God. The great part about these songs is he never tries to cover up his feelings for the sake of protecting his reputation. These songs are some of the most breathtaking songs I've heard in hip-hop for quite some time, it's just nice to hear an artist be so honest.
If you do not have this album yet, you must get it. This is the can't miss album of the year. You will be surprised and impressed at the insightful and honest lyrics that Scarface brings to the listener.
