I assume you already know who Giacinto Scelsi is or know what his music generally sounds like; to make this easier, I'll break this review down by disc, summarizing and rating each major work on each disc.
DISC 1:
Aion 4 of 5 stars - dramatic and chaotic
Pfhat 3.5 of 5 stars - random, short, dramatic, and chaotic
Konx-Om-Pax 4 of 5 stars - subdued, dramatic, intriguing
DISC 2:
Quattro Pezzi 4 of 5 stars - intense, dramatic, intriguing
Anahit 5 of 5 stars - beautiful, surreal, intense, dramatic, all of the above
Uaxuctum 3 of 5 stars - This was disappointing because I had heard and had fallen in love with this work on the Mode Recording, but on here, the vocals just aren't loud enough and a few other minor differences kind of set this performance back a little for me. Still good and if you've never heard it before, you'll love it. The Mode Recording is that good, that despite this being inferior, it's still really good. - eerie, intense, dramatic
DISC 3 - 5 of 5 stars
For a lot of it, you won't even be able to tell a lot of them apart by anything obvious, they are all very good, dramatic, intense, chaotic, emotional, beautiful, all of the above.
Really, every work on this set is beautiful, dramatic, intense, chaotic, and surreal in it's own way. Some are better than others are, they are all enjoyable to listen to, none of them are bad.
The bottom line is, if you're into trippy music, you may really like this set.
