Free Music Notes for School Daze (1988 Film) [SOUNDTRACK]Free Music Review: 'Bout Damn Time! Hit: 5 Stars
I emphathize with the other reviews. I've been waiting forever for this to hit CD again. And to think the BeeGees "Sgt. Pepper" and the Soundtrack to "The Wiz" were reissued first. I'm not black, and I didn't finish college, but I loved the movie. Above all, I loooove "Be Alone Tonight" with Tisha Campbell. I can't wait to hear this classic on CD!
Free Music Review: AT LAST! Hit: 5 Stars
From the opening song by EU to the last one by Pieces of A Dream w/Branford Marsalis and Portia Griffin, this is one great soundtrack. I've been looking for this on CD for ages, and finally, amazon.com has come to the rescue! This CD has something for lovers of different types of African-American music. That's something you can't say about many CDs today.
Free Music Review: A great soundtrack Hit: 5 Stars
I bought a tape of this album in '88 when the movie came out. Lost it and have been looking for the CD ever since. BE ALONE TONIGHT is such a great pop song. It should have gotten radio play. If I had a singing voice, I CAN ONLY BE ME would be my song of choice. I was going to go to Spike's Joint here in LA but it's closed down. Thank God for Amazon.
Free Music Review: Vibin' On a Rainbow of Black Emotion Hit: 5 Stars
This CD is the Bomb! I can't believe I actually found it after about 10 years. I am looking forward to every track , especially the Negro spriritual that opens it "I'm Building Me A Home" performed by the Morhouse Glee Club. Thanks Amazon.com. I thought I would have to knock down Spike's door to borrow his copy!
Free Music Review: Amazing Hit: 5 Stars
This soundtrack is hands down, no competition the best soundtrack I have ever heard. My favorites are Perfect Match, Be Alone Tonight, Straight and Nappy, I'm Building Me A Home, I Can Only Be Me, Be One and We've Already Said Goodbye. The movie was excellent but somehow the soundtrack's even better. Must Have.
