We've waited for years to finally have this album. Now that it's arrived, The Good Stuff was definitely worth the wait. It is Schuyler Fisk through and through. Containing a wonderful mix of rises and falls in various styles, this album is incredibly eclectic. These are not cookie cutter songs, no two tracks sound alike.
The album provides surpise and refreshment, even to her loyal fans. Though not to be disappointed, The Good Stuff gives loyalists their classic Schuyler favs through a revamped "From Where I'm Standing", an improved "Hello", and a "Who Am I To You" that stands on its own.
The Good Stuff also introduces new options for favorite songs. "Cold Heart" is a perfect example of Fisk's ability to keep things musically low key, which beautifully accentuates completely relatable lyrics.
A purchase you won't regret; an album you'll rarely (if ever) press the "next track" button; thoroughly satisfying, The Good Stuff stays true to its name.
