Free Music Notes for Scissor SistersFree Music Review: stone garters jelly needs a hike Hit: 5 Stars
Stoned garters jelly pretends he is a mean mean fat beerbellied xenophobic, but I have detected his true nature. His father was gay which he has suppressed and his mother him.
The scissor sisters are a top nudge quality screaming effort.
the terriufc way the singer takes a lame pfloyd song and tackles it into the KICKING WILD version here is just about brilliant.
I am not a big fan of Take your mama and Lovers in the backseat but pretty much everything else that is offered heer is certainly a couple of 100 times better than old fart bands like Lehla, CCR, Doors and Who(res), excrutiatingly dismissable.
Give us love, check out Carpenters, Manilow, Scissors, give us love sweet love, something story called jugglers has never experienced therefore he plays the Big Hater now.
He is probably walking around in pink underpants on sundays when he walks his poodle, oohlala!
Yes you got it, Scissor sisters is wild, kinky and unlike scruffy outfits like Lead Zippering, Creme, and for starters Ion Madin.
Love is a peach, yum yum! scissors has it.
The floyd is outta reach, dumb dumb! get your assets
and please make yourself scarce, you loving mean weasel.

Free Music Review: A great debut - Not just for gays and women! Hit: 5 Stars
Ok, I've been reading the other reviews and all I have to say is get over the Comfortably Numb thing. I'm a big Pink Floyd fan, but -shock/horror- I thought this version was pretty sweet. I didn't really like it when I first heard it, but it's really grown on me.
As for the album, I thought it was brilliant. I admit I bought it for the singles, but when I listened to it, it just blew me away. Now just to get things clear: I'm 21, male, Irish and straight (I have a lovely girlfriend who likes the album too) and I have no problem admitting I like this album. Not only is it fun, but there's some really powerful stuff on there. The greatest song on it is Return to Oz. God, I just fell in love with this song. It has a real epic quality to it.
I wonder did any of the negative reviewers actually sit down and listen to the album. I'm guessing alot of them came in with pre-concieved notions (probably from hearing the singles) and knew they were going to hate it before they listened to it.
My advice? If you're not afraid to give something new a try, then get this album. It's not just for gay people and women.
Oh yeah, reviewers take note: Don't judge an album from one song or a live performance. That's just ignorant.
Free Music Review: Gorgeous and Filthy Hit: 5 Stars
I tell you there isn't a bad song on this set; the boys and girl from the girtty part of New York City that is still in tact, the Scissor Sisters conquered the UK of course; since unlike any US counterparts lately, they actually enjoy good music across the pond. Combining the elements of Robbie Williams, Elton John, Beck and just about every other enchanting lad of late, the album is a dance wave rock rave from beginning to end - "Filthy Gorgeous", "Take Your Mama Out", the reworking of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" - no matter where your random button hits you're going to hear a dose of pure pop genius. When the album came out I began putting random Scissor Sisters songs on the compilation discs I made and let me tell you I made fans out of every single person who ran and bought the album themselves - and hello Jake Shears can tear up the scenery and there are two gay boys in the band! It's about time music can be music and not just a sub category of queer rock. It gives me hope for the likes of oh, I don't know my band Swivek. Oh and if you haven't already bought it - get We Are Scissor Sisters and So Are You! - a concert film that has tons of fun extras and one of the best live performances I've seen in a while.
Free Music Review: Escape the Corporate Doldrums! Hit: 5 Stars
In a time when popular music lacks creativity, relying on the same formulas to snatch the unassuming teenager's hard-earned cash, the Scissor Sisters are refreshing to hear.
While others compare them to Elton and Bowie, not many mention Queen for some odd reason. Freddie was the master of outrageous glam outfits and getting nude on stage, as is Jake today. Freddie's songwriting was always unique, creative, and left the lyrics up for interpretation. Jake (the principal songwriter) shifts genres on the same album, from the freaky (Laura) to traditional pop-rock (Take Your Mama) to disco (Comfortably Numb) to dace (Filthy/Gorgeous) to ballads (Mary, Return to Oz).
Every song has a different style but they are all catchy and have excellent hooks. Jake seemlessly weaves his smooth tenor voice with incredible falsetto range (also similar to Freddie). They are not afraid to challenge traditional music rules, have very cool names, and have incredible stage presence.
There is no reason not to like this album (yes even you, hard-core Floyd fan), and if you appreciate sheer talent and originality, buy this album! Plus we need them to tour in the states!
Oh and Del...call me!
