Scott Holt is one of the most underrated artists on the music scene today. This cd is a fine example of his work missing the mainstream blues playlists. After touring with Buddy Guy for nearly 10 years, the student becomes the teacher with this tribute to his mentor. The premise for this cd was to interpret some of Buddy's music (and some he MADE famous) and place the Holt personality upon them. Trust me: not one passed ball or a strike on this disc! He hits each track out of the park, at record distances!! I hope Scott tours this area again, it has been 10 years since I last saw him perform. If you like blues, you will love this release!
