Free Music Notes for Fiesta SongsFree Music Review: Humo En El Agua Baby Hit: 5 Stars
I was in a clothing store a couple of years ago, and on the sound system was a wicked salsa version of Deep Purple's "Smoke on the water".
Having cut my teeth on Deep Purple, but long since expanded my musical tastes in almost endless directions, as soon as I got home, I googled around a little and found out the geniuses behind this gem were Senor Coconut.
I suppose, once one gets over the cognitive dissonance of a salsa version of "Smoke on the water" to begin with, one shouldn't be too surprised to learn that these guys are from Germany of all places.
There are more killer covers here than just "Smoke".
If you're into salsa, cha-cha-cha, bolero, etc., and also enjoy pop, rock, etc. (and who doesn't?), then this is right up your alley.
Free Music Review: festivity of sound Hit: 4 Starsan extravaganza of sound and festive energy that will pump new life into your stereo system pronto.A highly amusing and entertaining arrangement of voice and spiced up instruments, not to mention the wonderful little surprises like Martin Gore influences. Totally unique.
Free Music Review: El Hombre de Coco does it again. Hit: 5 StarsFun stuff here. "Electrolatino" is my favorite, and the "Cha cha cha" song if great, too. The whole album is great fun, but skip the English version of "Smoke on the Water" and go for the bonus Espanol version instead. If you haven't experienced Senor Coconut yet, get with it! There are 3 albums; buy them all. I hope this isn't the last we hear from him...
Free Music Review: music to smile to Hit: 4 StarsThis album really makes me happy. The covers of "Riders on the Storm" and "Beat It" are hilarious and ingenious. They are really very good musicians as well, with tight rhythms and smooth instrumentation. It will keep you dancing!
