Free Music Notes for Best: 1991-2004Free Music Review: SEAL Hit: 4 StarsWow, talk about a voice that soars. I had been waiting for Seal to come out with a greatest hits, and this c.d. is amazing. I really can't think of another singer that sounds even remotely like this guy. If you are even a casual fan of Seal, you should get this c.d., there is just something soothing about his voice and when your in the mood for it, it really has no substitute. Really good album.
Free Music Review: It gets my "Seal" of approval. Hit: 4 StarsFirst of all, the tracklist here is incomplete, as the disc also includes a great cover of "Lips Like Sugar". 14 tracks in all. Secondly, like most collections this album is one-stop shopping for the casual fan. Not to say it's the only good Seal out there, but it is what it is, a greatest hits. I must admit this includes most of what it should, and the only track I really miss is "Dreaming In Metaphors". Truthfully his 1994 album is essential also, but this will do if looking for your first or only Seal disc. How can one man make such great music and bed supermodels? I think I just answered my own question.
Free Music Review: Amazing CD - must have for Seal fans Hit: 5 StarsThis is an incredible CD. I have never heard "Walk on by" in a better mix. Seal is at his best. It is cool how these songs can be rediscovered and get to be so enjoyable. I have especially liked "Color" and "Touch". This collection is one of those that will not leave your player easily.
Free Music Review: Excellent album of Seal's hits and his personal favorites! Hit: 5 StarsWhen I heard that Seal was putting out a best of album, I went crazy, wondering what would be on it! I thought of Crazy, Kiss From A Rose, Prayer, Don't Cry, Waiting for You and others. Well, guess what, all the songs I've listed are on it! And the album's well balanced with the most popular songs first and possibly Seal's personal favorites later. I still love Killer! The album does a good job with having the album versions on here rather than edited versions. So Don't Cry still sounds dramatic in its 6 minutes than the edited version that cuts out 2 minutes of it for radio. I've not heard his third and fourth albums, but the selections from that album are quite good. And I still like his rocking remake of Steve Miller Band's Fly Like An Eagle! Some outraged Steve Miller fan would have cried "Foul, nobody should ever remake that song!" back in 1996. But Seal brought the funk to this song and producer Rashad Smith had some hot beats to give it a hip-hop edge! And it was a top 10 hit! It was one of the best songs from the Space Jam soundtrack. The other soundtrack songs and selections like his remake of an '80s song, Lips Like Sugar are just as solid. His songwriting is special, his talents so very gifted, and he's a very superb singer vocally. Seal brought the best of his 13 years in recorded music to this compilation.

13. "Human Beings": Taken from the somber CD Human Being, this is pretty much the only stand out track from the 1998 release.

This CD is superb from start to finish. No need to skip any tracks. They all shine.
