Seal is an artist whose music is an acquired taste. Not because his music is terrible, its because his music is different. He has a great voice and terrific delivery. His lyrics are introspective but also something that everyone can relate to. The only complaint I have is that there are a lot of slower songs. He does well with both slow and fast songs. 4-1/2 stars.Free Music Review: Another disappointment

A clear disappoint for me. I don't know what I am missing. I have been listening to this CD for over 2 weeks and I am about to file it in the back of my CD collection. To me, it is right down there with Human Being and maybe worse. What a shame. Seal II was a fantastic CD, one of the best from start to finish from anyone over the past 10 years. It is looking more and more like that was the exception and not the rule. Seal still has a good voice and always will but that is about it. On Seal IV, the lyrics, the melodies, the passion, and the complexity of the music just don't compare to Seal II. I seem to be in the minority here so maybe I will give it a few more tries.Free Music Review: Listen then listen again

I bought this and being a Seal fan I thought that it was good not great. I had the same opinion of Seal III but later I found it to be better than I intially thought. Well this maybe one of the BEST CDs of the year. It is at least as good as Seal II if not better. Listen but leave previous notions of how you think Seal should sound out of your mind. WELL FOLKS, I DON'T KNOW IF YA'LL ARE REALLY TRUE SEAL FANS, BUT IF YOU AIN'T, NOW'S A GOOD TIME TO GET STARTED...THE BOY HIT PAY DIRT AGAIN ! NOW GRANTED I'M NOT SURE IF THERE'S ANY ALBUM THAT CAN TOP THE GENIUS OF 1994'S "SEAL" WITH THE BATMAN POPULARIZED " KISS FROM A ROSE ", BUT MAN DID HE EVER TRY WITH THIS NEW ONE. ON EVERY TRACK I WAS THROWN FOR A LOOP BECAUSE ON THIS OFFERING IT SEEMS THAT HE CHANGED STYLES ON LITERALLY EVERY TRACK. HE HAS EVERYTHING FROM POP TO SOUL TO REGGAE INFLUENCED MUSIC ON THIS NEW CD. I'M TELLING YOU GUYS THIS CD IS BRILLIANT AND IF YOURE LIKE ME AND OWN THE OTHER THREE, THIS FOURTH ONE IS A MUST HAVE! WELL GOTTA GO, HE'S PERFORMING AT THE WARFEILD HERE IN S.F BAY AREA AND I GOTTA GET BACK TO MEMORIZING ALL THE LYRICS SO I CAN SING ALONG AT THE CONCERT...LUCKY ME!Free Music Review: Oh Yeah!

Well... what can I say? Finally, a new Seal album. I've been waiting a long time for this. When I found out it had finally come out, I came here to check out the reviews. After reading some of the reviews, I was wondering just what kind of album Seal had put out. Well, I went out to seal.com and up popped the Seal Player with all the songs on his newest album waiting there for me to listen to. Awesome. I wasn't too sure the first time I listened to it. Unfortunately I allowed the negative reviews to cloud my perception. After listening to the album again a second time with an open mind, I was quite pleased with what I heard. Very good music. I usually pop this on while I'm at work and listen to it over and over and over.... You get the Idea. Love's Divine is probably my favorite. And the music on Don't Make Me Wait usually gives me chills. This is a great album. If you like any of Seal's other albums, you will definitely like this one.
