All you naysayers are deluded. Or having a very bad day.
This is a far above-average first recording for any artist, let alone from a 17-year old with a troubled background. Kingston's fusion-sound embraces the refined aspects of R&B, reggae, urban poetry & pop. His silky voice (canned or not) is fluid, consistent, sexy and has great potential for development. I can't wait to see where he goes from here.
(And, by the way, if you question his authenticity, with grandfather Jack Ruby and uncle Buju Banton, this kid was born with several ounces of musical credibility.)

Sean Kingston really nailed it on this CD. To be honest I downloaded this album 1st not expecting too much but it shocked me. I have listened to the album atleast 20 times from beginning to end. The best part about the CD is that it doesnt have those little filler tracks that are straight garbage just to fill the CD. This CD is a hit!! a new benchmark for lame music.. geez pop music always finds new ways to go to new lows and insult my musical sensibilities. lame pop songs of the past now seem listenable compared to this.
BG sounds like it could be sung by chipmunks.. hoakie at best.. the only way i could hate this song more, is if i were jamaican. i wish the dj's would stop playing this cheap azz song that can be made with a drum machine in a garage with chipmunks.
but hey, i guess you gotta give the guy credit for his gimmick that's flowing him some scratch..
i'd rather buy paris hilton's cd.. at least that is sung by a ghostly stand-in pro-singer or a pro-voice machine. take your pick.. at this rate in just 5 yrs I might be longing for more britneys of the world.. unless of course cheezy pop music has driven me to suicide by then..
forget waterboarding, just use nonsense music on terrorist.. there's plenty to choose from..

i guess i am the only reviewer who likes this album. most likely because i don' care about the actual artist. who cares if his accent is fake or if yout think he stole from other singers or his voice was enhanced. it's the music that matters, and in my opinion, it sounds good.Free Music Review: It's very good

i like this album, there's no cursing which is awesome for a change. the beats are nice and catchy so i like most of the songs. Im glad i bought it, he's a promising new artist and i cant wait for his next album.
