To call this collection a "best of" is naming such a thing too soon, as those who have seen the Chiefs live on their more recent tours would attest. (If you don't believe me, I have two words for you: Brazen Serpent.) The tracks on this album constitute what I consider the signature sound of SC3, a mix of middle eastern instruments and surf rock with a heavy dose of interesting cover tunes. If you've been curious about the band but don't know where to start this is what you should be purchasing. You should be hooked soon after.Free Music Review: A GREATEST HITS ALBUM

Just fair warning--I did not study the amazon ad closely enough to deduce that this is just a greatest hits album. Great music, of course, but if you've got their CDs already....I burned up a quick $15 on it. There are added features, but if you're like me, with no time to watch DVD material, then it won't be worth it to you. There are only two tracks from the hard to find EYES OF FLAME album (including a live version of a song available on later albums), and there are three bonus tracks as well. That said--if you love MOD's Surfing USA, you may not be able to pass up SC3's Good Vibrations. Heroes is delightfully bizarre, and SC3 Christmas music will be a seasonal treat, just not the stuff you're itching to listen to repeatedly.
If you are not familiar with the band, just pick one of their previous records--then if you love it, you'll want the others anyway and won't duplicate purchases.
If you're a fanatic, well, you'll get it anyway, and enjoy!
