Free Music Review: Great Collection of Acoustic Tracks
Hit: 5 Stars

This is an excellent acoustic live performance recording of the South African Band Seether, who now for 5 years have still managed to stay afloat in the New Metal wasteland that was created around the turn of the century. Now bands like Godsmack and Seether have slowed down and put out acoustic albums to not only show their music can something than just music angry young testosterone filled teens mad at their parents can listen too. Seether has been known to put out many acoustic songs on singles, and for radio stations, now they have just sat down and decided to make a full album for our convenience. Thank you. With The Bonus DVD that comes with this, This album is also an excellent value. I would recommend this to be bought after you alread own their first two albums, so the pure rock aggression and sound wave can be absorbed/interpreted and understood before it is broken down here. Fair weather fans may be picked up by this album, as was done by Stonsour's song "Bother" years ago (much to the fans shock listening to the rest of the album), but unlike that song, this album still interprets well into the original elecrified songs. As a well established heavy metal rattlehead, Thumbs up to SEETHER.

Free Music Review: Awesome DVD
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a great combo set. The DVD is kinda like MTV unplugged, but cooler. Seether performs some of their popular hits (like Remedy, Gasoline, Broken) but also some of their earlier songs (like Tied My Hands, Plastic Man). It's totally acoustic, too, so the vocals are clear and the guitars sound fantastic, not jumbled or have too much static. It's about an hour long or so. There is also a cool interview with the band that takes place on the same stage. There are a few funny tidbits that reveal the bands sense of humor and dedication to what they do. Also included is the official video for "The Gift" which is cool, as well as the making of that video. I also put the songs on my ipod to listen to while driving. All in all, it's one of the best DVDs I've purchased in a long time. Seether rocks.

Free Music Review: The Best!
Hit: 5 Stars

I have been a fan of Seether since their Saron Gas days. This for me is as good as any live or acoustic CD I have owned or listened to. There is all of the emotion and energy with a full electric concert but with the clarity and tempo of an acoustic set. The production quality is top notch. Crystal clear instruments and up front vocals. The only thing bad about this cd is I want more! I want Needles, 69 Tea, Burrito, etc. If you like any of Seether's songs, get this cd, you will not be disapointed.

Update: You can download Needles and Burrito that were not included in the cd release from iTunes. Those two songs would be worth the price of the cd by themselves!

Free Music Review: Exellent CD.
Hit: 5 Stars

I actually saw pretty much the same exact acoustic set while they were touring with shinedown, and I thought IT KICKED COMPLETE A**!! If you haven't seen seether live you might wanna next time they come around. So when I heard they were coming out with this CD I was extatic.
The great thing about this CD is that it comes with the complete show on DVD which kicks a**, and you also get some bonus stuff like a behind the scenes look at the making of The Gift video, and a very long interview, which also kicks a**.
I could listen to this whole CD without a skip so if you are a seether fan buy it, if not F***ING BUY IT ANYWAYS!!

Free Music Review: Awesome Sound
Hit: 5 Stars

I've got both studio albums (which are pretty darn good), and usually I don't like many live albums since the sound quality sometimes leaves things to be desired.

That's not that case with this album. It's very high quality CD and DVD sound. It's like a "best of" album in an acoustic version (duh), and I like it so much I listen to the acoustic versions of these songs more than the studio versions! The intro to "The Truth" is awesome, and I like the cover of Pearl Jam's "Immortality" much better than the original.

Well worth it... even if you don't own any other Seether albums.
