Free Music Review: The BEST musical-and I haven't seen the real thing!!!!!

When our school decided to do this, I got the soundtrack. After listening to it once or twice i literally fell in love with the music!!!!! It's amamzing!!! I especiallly love Oh the Thinks you can Think! and Havin' a Hunch. Ahrens and Flaherty did a WONDERFUL job in the music!!!! I've listened to the whole soundtrack at least a hundred times(literally!)! It was a shame that the actuall thing didn't last long, but I am in our school version, and it looks like a big success!!! I can't wait!! And remember, Seuss is the thing to think about!

I've never seen this musical, so I can't really judge the content or plotline. However, as a parent I'm more than familiar with the dozens of Dr. Seuss books, and from what I've heard listening to the lyrics, this CD is very faithful to the books and the characters within. Don't expect songs from "The Grinch" in here; these are original scores, and they are performed quite beautifully. The music isn't harsh and my 5 year old often asks if he can listen to this as he's falling asleep, while my 9 year old likes to sing along. I suppose seeing the musical may help, but my kids haven't seen it and they very much enjoy this CD.Free Music Review: Seussical: The Musical (Original Cast Recoarding)

This is a great CD with amazing music. The story is SO great, and it has an extremely powerful message. This show is written based on the different books of Dr. Seuss. Most of the characters are based on the books that he wrote. Some of these are Hortan (one of the main character) the grinch with all the whos, gertruid, mazie, and of course the narrartor, "Cat in the Hat" Don't give up, do what is right even if you're not always going to be popular. As Hortan says time and time again "A Persons a person no matter how small." I love this music, and I can't wait to see this show in a few weeks at "The Childrens Theatre" in Minnsota.Free Music Review: Childlike fun for the whole family.

It's nice to have something to play for my nieces and other young kids who might become interested in theatre. I can't play them Sondheim, or Rent, or many of the shows that got me interested as a teen. Seussical is great fun. Many of the songs are high energy (Oh the Thinks you can Think!) and many are heartbreakingly emotional and sweet (Notice Me Horton!) But what really makes this cd a need-to-buy for adults is the cast. Every single cast member from the leads to the chorus are awesome. Michele Pawk, Janine La Manna, Kevin Chamberlain, David Shiner, Sharon Wilkins, etc.. etc... all are wonderful. Buy this cd.Free Music Review: Very Clever

Wow! whoever would think to do a musical on such an annoying book series but they pulled it off!! The thing that amazes me is I hated it the 1st 2 times that I heard it but I gave it a chance AFTER the 5th time! Totally cute and my play and theatre company is gonna od it soon so I can't wait and even though it's currently not on broadway the music still does it Justice. Definitely better for kids than Hairspray and Avenue Q if you want to liste to it in the Car.
P.S. if you listen to it and you dunno who evryone is do some reading at Barnes and Noble!
