I oreded the Seussical soundtrack because my school is putting on the production later this year and I wanted to become more farmiliar with the music before my audition. I was excited to get the CD, not only becuase I was excited about the musical but because I love doctor Seuss!! I listened to it the day I got it and I must say it is AMAZING!! It's like a return to my childhood. I've rediscovered the magic I once found in reading (or being read) Dr. Seuss books and I love it! Buy this CD!! The critics are crazy! This musical is great! The music is fun, exciting, and upbeat. Although it's a "kid-musical", everyone can enjoy it. Seussical has been bombed by the critics, but they're wrong. I love the song "Oh, The Thinks You Can Think" and "Biggest Blame Fool". The musical style reminds me a lot of the Broadway musical, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown. It's great that they've stuck to Dr. Seuss' books - the lyrics rhyme. It's a great way of introducing children to theatre - I hope Seussical does well at the Tonys.Free Music Review: LOVED IT!!!!

Our local high school put on the show but we were unable to make it. For the 1st time in the school's history, they did an encore presentation which my daughter and I did make. OUTSTANDING JOB! I was online that night buying the CD which we listen to just about everytime we're in the car. (which is often). We're going to see our 3rd stage production in 3 months next week. The second show was done by a pro company and was edited to 1/2 the length and not nearly as fun as the 1st. Kids and kids-at-heart will love this music. It's addictive to listen to.Free Music Review: This CD is proof that you should never believe critics!

Hi there! I am going to see Seussical in New York in April ('01), so my mother and I decided we'd like to know the music first. Well, as Gertrude says, "I was hooked from the start..." I LOVE this cd!! The lyrics and plot are very kid-friendly, but not stupid. Lyrics are wonderful, and every song has a different style. If your children are like I was- singing and dancing around the house- you want to buy this cd! It's fun and catchy lyrics and songs will keep you singing all day... after all, it may be a "Day for the Cat in the Hat"! :)Free Music Review: One of the top 10 musical cds of all time!!

I haven't seen the show and, as a matter of fact, had never even heard of Suessical when I purchased a cd of Broadway hits. My two favorite songs just happened to be from the same musical--Seussical?? (Solla Sollew and Anything's Possible.) This piqued my interest and I bought this cast recording. It's wonderful!! I listen to it more often than Ahrens and Flaherty's famous Ragtime. Janine LaManna is particularly talented portraying a wide range of earnest emotion in her developing character. If you listen more than 3 times, you'll be addicted.
