I'm a student at NFHS (Georgia) and our Drama department performed this musical in two thousand and four, as our Children's Theatre production. I saw it and absolutely loved the musical, and I've decided to get with a few friends to do a few songs out of the show itself. This musical is a great comedy and can show children parts of Dr. Seuss stories and possibly raise their curiosity enough to Read the books themselves. I was Not disappointed in the least with this soundtrack or Musical, and intend to play it for My children when I have them.Free Music Review: Seussical Is a Joy

Critics who badmouth Seussical have hearts two sizes too small. Horton is a good soul, keeping both his promises -- to the Whos and to Mayzie's egg -- beyond realistic expectations. "Alone in the Universe" and "It's Possible (In McElligot's Pool)" are two of my favorite songs from the show. My wife and I went with our two daughters during Boston previews, and we all loved it. Since I bought the cast recording, my 8-year-old has learned all the lyrics and is ready to fill in as understudy for nearly any role in the show!Free Music Review: about the schlopp in the fridgermerator...all for you!! xxx

absolutely fabulous!!!!!!!! the variety of musical styles compiled into this single musical is outstanding! the inclusion of all from soul to gospel, po to jazz is beautifully done with wonderfully manipulated lyrics inspired by the works of Dr. Seuss. The story becomes apparant eventually and as you pick up on more and more words you constantly understand more and more about these loveable characters and their wonderful world! I just wish the broadway season hadnt flopped as i'd certainly be compelled to go and watch the show!Free Music Review: One of the best soundtracks I've ever heard (then again I haven't heard that many)

I bought the soundtrack after finding out that my school was going to be doing this play (which I am playing piano for), and I really like the music. I must point out, however, that the music on the soundtrack does not exactly match that of the actual show. There are parts on the soundtrack that are eliminated or replaced in the show (or at least the production my school is doing) and vice versa. Still, a great listen. My favorite song is probably Alone in the Universe. It's such a wonderful, touching ballad of hope.Free Music Review: Incredible Sounds

I am very pleased with this purchase. I had been wanting to hear all the music from this after hearing a song on TV once. The premise was very interesting and I wanted to know more. Well after only 1 day I am in awe at the music and lyrics on the CD. Also the voices were just incredible. Being in Musical Theatre I have seen good and bad. Well I am impressed, infact the harmonies and such brought forth a sudden rush of emotion that makes me want to do this show. If you like this genre this is an excellent choice.
