Free Music Review: not all said to be
Hit: 4 Stars

I just recieved my copy and there is no 24 page book and the DVD is only one hour long. I think the songs where performed a lot better than I expected. But was thinking there would be a lot more on the DVD than what was. the booklet that came with in the CD case told of more conversation from Lajon about the songs and what they were written for, but wasn't in the DVD even though the sticker on the wrapping paper said the full concert. I also thought it was kind of sketchy that they were singing a tribute to Johnny Cash, and sang a cover Johnny Cash did from Nine Inch Nails "Hurt" on the downward Spiral CD.

Free Music Review: Only if you're a true 7D follower and enjoy acoustic music
Hit: 4 Stars

I love it. I enjoy many styles of rock/metal/alt. what-have you. This package comes with a full length cd (live concert). It also comes with the same material on dvd. Really rocks if you have a surround sound system. Bottom line here is if you don't like acoustic music it's not for you. Definetly check out there new studio album "NEXT". There new album and "SEASONS" are two of my favorites from them, although i can't really pick just one. They all have that special something about them.

Free Music Review: Sevendust's Acoustic Live Album.
Hit: 4 Stars

This album is fantastic, I have never heard Sevendust perform these songs acousticly, it brings a different feel to the songs. Also, I love the fact that this album is a Limited edition, as it comes with official tour photos and a pick, as well as a dvd. I truly love this band and this album proves that Sevendust can perform live extremely well and the musicianship of each band member is of a high quality. Thanks Sevendust!

Free Music Review: rock revived
Hit: 4 Stars

Once you think you've given up on popular music, an album like this hits you. This has such a great melody that I can listen to it over again. After Godsmack's CD (Alice in Chains pt. 2), you feel that a little more soul and feeling was put into this. The lyrics aren't especially strong at times, but the delivery does well. They definitely know how to achieve a breakdown.

Free Music Review: Average. Relaxing, a little odd tho.
Hit: 3 Stars

Yeah, I can agree with the bad review before me and the great review before that. I have no passionate feelings about defending this album or bashing it. It is a decent, kind of offshoot attempt to vary things a bit.

Hopefully, with this following their most "iffy/kind of monotonous" album Seasons this doesn't mean Sevendust is on their creative avalanche. Not that Seasons or this disc is bad. I just mean that they both feel kind of "matured" for a band that is meant to be creative and inventing. Like what lots of cool bands from the 90s are doing, it feels 7dust is in the middle of a four way intersection and can't determine where to go in an ever-morphing music society. With Nickleback, Breaking Benjamin, and Chevelle seemingly "defining rock", I fear the true treaders of musical promise and creativity may want to shave their sound to a more clean-cut, cookie-cutter style.

Hopefully, Sevendust can see beyond this dry phase in formula rock and lead the way to the next generation of sonic invention. With the Bizkit promising a return with Borland, Skindred mixing new flavors, and Kid Rock approaching a balls-to-the-walls-or-it's-country-for-you time in his career, I hope the new sound will not be the sound reminiscent of the Chevelle/Nickleback sound we have all been hearing way too much of.

My thoughts on this album are its kind of an in-betweener. Meant to keep the true fans listening while they're waiting for the next revolution.

Until then, keep rockin Sevendust. The fans are waiting for the next defining chapter, one that shows the first three albums what's up.

PS - and for the love of all things cool, please don't do any covers. Korn, Nonpoint, even From Zero are beating old songs to death. NO BAND SHOULD EVER HAVE TO RELY ON ANOTHER ARTIST'S SONGS TO SELL AN ALBUM.

Peace out.
