Free Music Review: A MUST HAVE ALBUM!!!

This has to be my favorite Shakira album. Every track is a winner. Not a lame effort among them. STANDOUT tracks include CIEGA, SORDOMUDA and the unbeatable OJOS ASI. I'd have to say, in my opinion, OJOS ASI is one of the most unique and creative songs of all time. FANTASTIC! Were I to be stranded on a desert island with only one CD, a player and a shipload of batteries, DONDE ESTAN LOS LADRONES would be the CD I'd want.
It's one of those rare pop albums that is a classic from start to finish. For a fantastic "en vivo" performance of OJOS ASI, I'd recommend Shakira: Live & Off The Record. AWESOME! For a really unique mariachi version of CIEGA, SORDOMUDA, check out Shakira - MTV Unplugged. Might not sound like a good idea, but when you see it, you'll LOVE it!
All in all, DONDE ESTAN LOS LADRONES rates FIVE STARS--more if I could give 'em!!

I like every song in this album, specialy "Tu" and "Moscas en la Casa". I think is a very representative album of Shakira for it is the Bridge betwin her old and new Stile.
Altough comparing the song "Octavo Dia" from this album and "Timor" from her album "Oral Fixation" you can notice the way Shakira's mind and conception of the wold has evolved. It gives you something to meditate about how your own life has change thru the years.

This disc is far and away the best work that Shakira has put out to date. Blending classic rock with her own Lebonese sound, she captures a unique sound that I have not heard anywhere. Add to that her falsetto voice and you have one of the best discs I have ever heard! I would love to have her translate this disc to English and let the American audience really appreciate her talent!Free Music Review: what a talent

Before she was commercial and shallow and English speaking, Shakira was an amazing, strong, independent, unique, talented voice - - she wrote her own music, is much better in Spanish, and has such soul and beauty and is totally en fuego on this album. I listened to it every day for a year, and it spoke to me even though I was only learning Spanish...Free Music Review: Awesome!

I got this album after I bought Oral Fixation Vol.2 and this is a BEAUTIFUl album with majestic and wonderfully written songs that make you want to dance along. Her songs are beautifully written and touch you deep in the heart. Buy this album if you're considering it!!!
