My mom played this cd in the car when I was about 5 years old and I knew evry song by memory! :) good times. I recently found moms old cds and heard it again, now that I can judge the songs I think they are incredible! Although its all in spanish, but its still enjoyable.
Mi mamá tocaba este cd en el carro cuando yo tenía como 5 años y me sabía las canciones de memoria. Hace poco me encontré con el cd otra vez y cuando lo escuché no pude creer lo increible que son estas canciones!
Free Music Review: The first "Official" album, the best.

A very good production. First album known as the Official one (Magia and Peligro were a real disaster that anybody want to remember). Big hits as "Estoy aqui", "Donde estas corazon" that made history are in this album. So many feelings in the lyrics (Not as the last one "Ora Fixation vol 2", so commercial and superficial). Inside: full color pictures and the all song's lyrics. If you want to hear the real Shakira buy this album, great album from a great artist.

The original!
Before Shakira went blond. Before Shakira dressed scantily. Before Shakira sang in English. There was "Piez Descalzos", bare feet. Organic, true, and so far from Hollywood.
One of my all-time favorites. Brilliant lyrics that didn't have to rhyme or be translated to make some sort of sense in English.
This is still on my iTunes, love it!

The "Pies Descalzos" CD is Shakira's trademark CD that propelled her to instant stardom. It is full of easy going music and subtle, but fun, rhythmic tones yet it has profound lyrics about the current events at the time the CD was released.
Definitely, a must-have for Shakira fans.

This is one of Shakira's first albums and is very original. All the songs on here are very Shakira, using heartfelt lyrics, while also using an energetic beat in many of the songs.I like this album and recommend it if you're looking for a taste of Shakira, antes "Hip's Don't Lie."
