Free Music Review: The Very Best Of Shania
Hit: 5 Stars

The only thing really to say about Shaina Twain is it's about time that she relased a "Greatest Hit's" album. In the past 12 years since her 1993 debut "Shania Twain" she has took the title the Queen of Country Music. She won over our heart's when she released "Any Man Of Mine" from her 1995 release of "The Woman In Me." Throughout the years she made an everlasting impact on the country music scene. She showed the world when she released her 1997 album "Come On Over" that she wasn't going nowhere and she hasn't. She has only gotten better in time.

Finally in late 2004 she released what every fan has been waiting for a "Greatest Hit's" collection from song's from "The Woman In Me to "UP!" In the past 12 years from her past 3 album's she has released over 20 single's and every single one was a top 20 hit or not it went number 1. From song's 1 to 17 was a collection from her past 3 albums and song's 18 to 21 are new releases with 2 version's of "Party For Two" a country version and a pop version. On the whole album 20 of the 21 song's are good. She couled have done without the pop version of "Party For Two" i skip over that song and turn it to the country version.

I can see why they say that a greatest hit's album is always a artist's best album and it's the truth. This is Shania's best album.

Free Music Review: A SIMPLE WELL DONE GREATEST HITS
Hit: 5 Stars

There are very few artist that could appeal to the masses, but is safe to say that Shania Twain is one of them. From kids to seniors, Shania always play it safe to the ear and hearts. And for the treats of many of hard core fans comes the collection of hits in one single cd(truly appreciated), as many would say there are some singles that were missed, but truly not the essentials. The song that truly inspired from miss Twain are here. The simple thing is that Twain and her husband knew how to blend pop-rock-country & ac in one song. This greatest hits package include the country mix of the songs, a very nice touch in some songs that simply variated in a wrong way in the mix, like the UP remix version, wich was kind of anoying. But here are some melancolic strong songs that just clame their place in the history of music like YOU'RE STILL THE ONE, the classic TWAIN song, and her most memorable. FROM THIS MOMENT ON still holds that strong love feelin', MAN I FEEL LIKE A WOMAN it's a funky beat song, with an female freedom theme. I'M GONNA GETCHA GOOD one of the best rock-a-billie songs of TWAIN a very strong song, one of her best. FOREVER AND FOR ALWAYS, a very AC song, sweet and simple. UP uplifting, but a lil' repetitive. COME ON OVER pure country. LOVE GETS ME EVERYTIME a nice lyrics one, a very danceable. DON'T BE STUPID, the violins are hot, her voice great, THAT DON'T IMPRESS ME MUCH although I never thought this was one of her best, I must say the words are really funny(but easy laughs ones), ANY MAN OF MINE still her most country one. And many more songs in this cd, the one thing you can say, is that the new single is weak, the collection is HOT, and Shania Twain is a big female ICON in the history of music.

Free Music Review: The Best of Shania Twain
Hit: 5 Stars

As a general rule, a singer's best album will always be his or her compilation at any time in their career. Why purchase all Madonna albums when The Immaculate Collection would sum it up? Why bother looking for Britney's debut album when the only track worthwhile on it was to be found on Greatest Hits: My Prerogative? Certainly, Greatest Hits here sums up Shania Twain, the country-twanged diva who managed to make history by setting sale records and having major crossover to mainstream music.
Since every single record Shania has ever done sounds like a Greatest Hits by normal standards, its impossible to know where to begin. Shania has maintained high standards, beginning with a stunning debut, an exceptional sophomore followed by a smash called Come on Over, and by then the only way to go was 'Up'. Now, the album here sums up Shania's short but perfect catalogue in one CD.
For those who are not big fans or dislike country music, like I did, then you'll still appreciate this. Shania transformed the whole image of country, and this CD basically shows how she did. All the songs were co-written by Shania with husband/producner John M Lange. The new songs are also worthwhile. Party For Two, available in two versions is a fun duet, which although underperformed on the pop charts still manages to be a groovy track to sample. Ain't No Quitter is a lazy, catchy song, despite a somewhat negative image, but overall, this album is THE album that represents country music at its best. A must buy for everyone, and as for Shania fans, well, no use telling you as you'd already have this...

Shania Twain's Greatest Hits album is probably the best GH album released this year by a country/pop artist. This GH album contains almost all your favorite shania's songs but a few are missing out such as "You've Got A Way" and "She's Not Just A Pretty Face", but most of them in it are good. Some old songs are different from what you used to hear, "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" and "That Don't Impress Me Much" have new instrumental arrangements, gives a new touch to the old version and I like the new sound. The new song "Party For Two" included here have pop / country version featuring Mark McGarth / Billy Currington, country fans will probably favor the country version with Billy. Both version is different with different instruments. I like the country over the pop version. Don't is another new song which sounds very country, a slow love songs that sounds nothing like what Shania ever did, simply awesome. I Ain't No Quitter is a new country song that I don't like very much, its just not Shania's style of music, Its sounds like its classic country, I prefer Shania singing modern country..

But nonetheless... its worth buying this album as it clocks at over 77 minutes and cost less that 11 bucks, (might be even cheaper elsewhere). And it contains a lot of my old-time favorite Shania's track such as "forever and for always", "man! I feel like a woman!", "from this moment on", "you're still the one", "love gets me everytime", "the woman in me", "any man of mine", "whose bed have your boots been under"....

Free Music Review: Best of the Best
Hit: 5 Stars

It's hard to believe that after 10 years and 4 albums it's already time for a greatest hits package from the greatest female entertainer of all-time. The only down side is that she has so many hits she can't fit all of them on the album.

Most of us know all her hit songs like "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?," "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!," and "Forever And For Always," but what's great about this collection is that we get mixes either not available before or hard to find, like radio versions of "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" and "(If You're Not In It For Love) I'm Outta Here!," and the pop/world mix of "That Don't Impress Me Much."

The collection icludes "Any Man Of Mine," the best country song of all-time, in my opinion, and "You're Still The One" and "From This Moment On," Shania's most famous ballads that are staples at weddings everywhere, without the spoken intros featured on the "Come On Over" album.

Finally, we get three brand new songs. There is a country and pop version of "Party For Two" with Billy Currington and Mark McGrath. I personally like the country version better but they're both great. "I Ain't No Quitter" is a fun, cheeky, twangy swing number that's probably the most country song she's ever done. Finally, the highlight of the new material is a very powerful and deep ballad titled "Don't!" This is one of the best songs I've heard in a long time.
