Free Music Notes for Shania Twain - Greatest Hits

Free Music Review: Simply Shania!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

With nearly a decade of million-selling hits under her belt, Country music sensation Shania Twain has finally released a definitive 'Greatest Hits' disc.
Nearly all of Shania's biggest and best-known songs are included here featuring "Man, I Feel Like A Woman", "From This Moment On", "You're Still The One", "Any Man Of Mine", "Up" and "That Don't Impress Me Much".
Also included on the disc are three brand new tracks. The new hit "Party For Two" is presented in two versions. The first version is in a driving dance/rock style and features Shania duetting with Sugar Ray's Mark McGrath. The second version is in the more typical Shania country style and features Billy Currington duetting. The other two new tracks are the tender ballad "Don't" and the dirt-kicking country twang of "I Ain't No Quitter".
With all the hits that Shania Twain has had over the past decade, her "Greatest Hits" CD is a sure-fire winner. Every track on this disc brings back special memories and is full of upbeat liveliness. This is definitely one great collection from a very talented entertainer.
And of course, we cannot forget the songwriting and production talents of hubby Mutt Lange who brought this music to its full potential. This CD proves that the Twain/Lange collaboration is truly a winning combination.

Free Music Review: The Best An Artist Can Get
Hit: 5 Stars

With Shania's Greatest Hits. Shania comes full circle in her career. There are songs from every album to date, with the exception of her self-titled, 1993 album, which is suprising because "What Make You Say That", was a big video hit. There are classics from "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!", "That Don't Impress Me Much" and "You're Still The One",(from "Come On Over"), to "Any Man Of Mine", "I'm Outta Here" and "Whose Bed Have Your Boots"("from The Woman In Me") and "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" and "Forever And For Always"(from "Up!"), that there is enough to go around for everyone. Plus the three new songs. I still can not get enough of "Party For Two"(with Billy Currington), "Don't" was really to slow for me to catch on to, but it is a good song, then there is "I Ain't No Quitter", a song so catchy, and peppy, it's so easy to sing along to. It's only fitting that we get a greatest hits album from Shania, but she still has much more to give us. I have in the past doubted Shania, but the album proves that you should not. This album gets a lot of spins, I only hope that after "I Ain't No Quitter", that she isn't gone too long, because that will kill me. A+++++++

Free Music Review: Excellent effort--smart to put it out before Christmas!
Hit: 5 Stars

I think that it is timely that they put out Shania Twain's Greatest Hits album just in time for Christmas. Sure she's done only four albums, but she's had multiple hits out of albums 2, 3 and 4. Twain has a knack out of doing country songs that have a mainstream feel to them. They are undeniably catchy and addictive, yet have that melodic edge to them. I like that she put the remix of That Don't Impress Me Much on here, which has that funky dance beat! I thought that P. Diddy remixed it because of its somewhat hip-hop feel in it. Any Man of Mine, Man I Feel Like A Woman, I'm Gonna Get You Good, Up, Party For Two and others are solid rockers. The sentimental From This Moment On and You're Still the One (a popular wedding song favorite) are still playing on adult contemporary stations. WRAL, Mix 101.5 in Raleigh, NC was playing You're Still the One like crazy the week of this greatest hits' album release. That staff loves that song. Twain has had a good string of hits that get away from the typical assembly-line formula of Nashville. Robert Mutt Lange proved that he could do strong in country after all those '80s powerhouse hits for Def Leppard, Bryan Adams, AC/DC and others. Shania Twain is a dynamic performer and artist, and this album proves that.

Free Music Review: The Perfect Shania Compilation (and it even includes lyrics)
Hit: 5 Stars

Shania is one of my favorite artists, and her mass appeal has won her throngs of fans worldwide. For a lover of many genres like myself, she combines country sensibilities and lyrics with pop hooks. She has an uncanny ability, along with Mutt, to combine multiple styles. "From This Moment On", a beatiful love song, is country crossed with an AC power ballad and a tinge of Spanish music. These songs are catchy as hell: if you listened to country in 1995, you had "Any Man of Mine" memorized. "You're Still the One" is a classic crossover smash that you can still hear daily on the radio and is a popular wedding song. And "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" is an anthem. Shania can make you dance, laugh, yell, and cry all on the same album. Her "Greatest Hits" also has a complete lyric book with pictures from the corresponding videos. And the three new songs are great; "Party for Two" is sexy and fun in either version; "Don't" is a beautiful ballad; "I Ain't No Quitter" is strait (sp) up country (Take that Nashville!). If you've ever liked one of these songs or all of them, buy this album. It leaves out songs, but at 21 tracks, who can complain-besides, Shania fans have all of the albums anyway. Add this to your collection today, and have fun all winter.

Free Music Review: Shania's Great!
Hit: 5 Stars

The Amazon review is the usual nonsense coming from media critics, and the hardcore (dumb OLD boys) of the Nashville power base, who can't stomach anything that doesn't follow the status quo or is viewed as modern music.

The critter-sizers call Shania's music bubble gummy, but most other top country artist's have lyrics that make Shania's seem like a Mozart concert masterpiece.

Songs on this CD like "From This Moment On", "Forever And For Always", will live forever... moocho longer than the nonartistic critics who will die young from jealousy and hate.

Shania has saved Nashville's butt! Before Shania arrived country music sales were declining. With Shania's entrance on the country/pop stage, it has brought country music to the WORLD, not just down South in the US of A.

Shania has sold more CD's than any other country music singer, period. end of story. Shania is to country music today, what a young Elvis was to rock & roll yesterday. It's interesting that Elvis had to put up with the same crap from his critics when he arrived on stage.

Critics are worse than funeral directors cause they try to embalm their "dead" while the "corpse" is still breathing or singing!
