Heather Wertheimer and her esraj-playing husband Benji is best known for their work in the mantra-circuit, working with artists like Krishna Das. Well Benji actually playing on so many albums.
While their first album "The Love Window" was one of the finest kirtan-albums ever, this album is focused on the considerable songwirting talent of Heather. Every song is actually a gem and sung with emotion and conviction, reminding of Suzanne Vega at her best.
The arrangement and musicianship is topclass throughout, A highly emotional and fullfilling album, with lyrics ranging from the spiritual to the sensuous.
All in all an undiscovered treasure.
