Seen her live. Have a couple of her albums. Disappointed with this one. I usually like cryptic lyrics, but what the heck is she talking about. I don't get most of the songs. Musically OK but lacks excitement. Her production partner is talented but all the songs are starting to sound the same. Gave it a couple listens and gave up.Free Music Review: Not even close!

Not even close to "Cover Girl" or "Steady On". The songs on this album all sound the same. And this album is all studio work. Shawn is best when she's performing all by herself, or when she has a small band behind her.Free Music Review: darn

I'm crazy about Shawn Colvin. She shares what's in her heart with us, both the pleasure and the pain. Her music is honest and passionate. Her songs are beautiful, both for their words and their sound.
However, I'm sorry to say, "These Four Walls" was flat and lacked her usual spark. If you're new to her, try these titles first:

Whole New You
