Free Music Notes for Better DaysFree Music Review: His First, but not worst :) Hit: 5 StarsMany artists have forgettable first albums, but not this one. This was the second CD I got of Shawn Mullins when I lived in Atlanta. I used to go see him play as often as I was able. I have wonderful memories of Eddie's Attic and Shawn playing, just him and his guitar. He never needed or needs anything more to be amazing.
My favorite tracks on this CD: "Belong", "This Time/Last Time", "Same Old Thing", "Buckdance", "Everchanging World", and "Casey's Last Ride". I like all the tracks on this album, but these are the songs I return to over and over.
I've had the pleasure of meeting Shawn before he "hit it big" and he was gracious, humble, and kind to what I assume he thought was a silly teenage girl, at the time. Over the last 12 years, his music has sincerely touched my life in more ways than I can ever say. He is none of the most amazing storytellers in the world of music.
Free Music Review: The real Shawn Mullins Hit: 5 StarsFor anyone that loves Shawn's "new stuff", Better Days is a must! This is the best of Shawn! I've had this CD (actually my first copy was a tape) since 1993 and I haven't gotten tired of it yet. I listen to it at least once a week unlike all of my other trendy CD's I sell in about two months. It's a relaxing escape that takes me away from the real world to a beautiful scene in the Appalachian Mountains.

Free Music Review: Shawn Mullins' older music is a gem! Hit: 4 StarsI ordered this disc after I could not take Soul's Core out of my CD player. This is just as good....one of those discs you need to listen to a few times to really appreciate, then you find yourself singing the songs in your head for days. A real gem of an album.
Free Music Review: This is the best of Shawn Mullins' albums, easily! Hit: 5 StarsAlthough it does not have the same feeling of his more recent work in "Soul's Core," this is where Shawn Mullins' roots are. I attended college with him at North Georgia College in Dahlonega, GA, and had the great opportunity to see him perform at fraternity parties and downtown. "Everchanging World" is a classic, and the best song on the album -- this is college music, folksy and singable. If you're a Mullins fan, it's a must-have.
