Free Music Review: A real talent

Shown Pittman is another of the many "music business" mysteries. He is, without any doubts, a very talented guitar player and a very good singer too despite his young age (and this is not a minor plus!). Never than less he is very much overlook by every blues critics, so that, even Amazon does not have all his recordings in its (to be fair) impressive blues catalogue. Two very strong albums have followed this CD (this is his second one) but they are self-produced and only available on Shawn's web-site. I strongly believe that blues desperately needs new talents able to reinvigorate the music style being, at the same time, faithful to the masters of the past. Well, Shawn is, from my point of view, one of them. He is, together with Sean Costello, probably the best "young" blues guitarist around. After his impressive, beautiful, debut album he confirmed with this one that he might be (I really think that he will be) one of the major stars in the blues business one day. Just listen to his cover of the all time classic "Something To Remember You By" or to the closing acoustic number "That First Drink" and I am sure that most of you would agree with me. A fantastic blues album that shouldn't be missed by any blues fan.
