Free Music Review: It was indeed worth the wait!!

As you might have guessed, I am an unabashed fan of Sheryl Crow and upon very close scrutiny, this CD in my humble opinion, hits the bullseye. With this album, she has proven to me that she has got "legs" and will be around for a long time to come. What she offers up this time around is far more eclectic than in the past and shows a level of maturity that she was only beginning to show in her earlier work. To bring other well-known artists in to work with her also shows a level of confidence and comfort in her work that I haven't seen before. Unfortunately, when an artist gets to this level of eclecticism and accomplishment, they many times don't get the kind of recognition they deserve because the DJ's don't know how to catagorize them. In Sheryl's case, it only took four albums for her to achieve the deserved recognition. For many others it took far more and even then they never did achieve what was due. People in this catagory are the multi-talented singer-songwriter-musicians. Enough said for now; suffice it to say that Sheryl has connected with me on almost all of the tracks on this album.
