I have every single Sheryl Crow album and I think this is the best one since #2. Sheryl is fearless, and her music reflects what a survivor she is. I love her vocals, her song writing, her guitar, her back up musicians. Everything about this album is superb. I highly highly recommend it. I find Detours to be an appropirate title for Sheryl Crow's most recent effort. While the first half of the CD talks about American politics, the Presidency and American society, she takes a detour on the back half to talk of relationships (nay I say failed ones?)and love. The CD has some exceptionally strong songs like God Bless This Mess, Now That You're Gone and Make it Go Away make this CD a worthwhile pruchase.Free Music Review: Detours review

The album gets back to Sheryl Crow's roots...the tunes reminiscent of earlier works, but the voice stronger. I enjoy the songs and don't feel the political bent takes away from the sound. Good stuff--add it to you collection!Free Music Review: great new songs
