This is an excellent offering by Sheryl Crow, though my favorite song by far is only on the Special edition version (which I didn't realize and had to download the song by itself!) The Always on Your Side duet version with Sting is absolutely beautiful and is one of my all time favorites. This disc is great, but I would recommend getting the special edition instead.Free Music Review: She's back

Sheryl Crow is in a class by herself consistently surprising me with her ability to weave standard pop material into something more. Abandoning her earlier rougher edge, she instead incorporates a bit more electronic pop sound but still manages to convey deep thoughts and complex feelings that took me aback. Her last album was a waste but not so here. Despite her success and fame she turns out a dynamic and complex examination that holds together well.
My favorite is "Letter To God" which put me to tears as Sheryl asks the questions I want to ask but am afraid such as why are there no answers to these questions and why must we be so afraid to ask them. I'll leave you to read the lyrics yourself and see my point. Crow is as impressive to me as Paul Simon is for different reasons. Where Paul examines the dark side of life with more grim and edgy arrangements, Crow looks there as well but there is an upbeat melody that undercuts the grim and adds more shades of gray to her music and that makes it great to hear. Thank you Sheryl and thank you for "Letter to God" In your own way you've answered some questions for me by NOT answering the questions.

I ordered this Sheryl Crow CD after seeing her on Larry King Live. I was not disappointed. She is a strong, talented woman!
