Free Music Review: A Wildflower that keeps growing

Sheryl Crow is one artist that has gotten better over time. With Wildflower, she's grown up on both a personal and artistic level. The only track that I thought needed reworking was "Always on Your Side," but the reissued release contains a newer version of the song with the addition of vocals by Sting, and it comes across much better. Crow and Sting bring good chemistry in the studio together. Crow stills knows how to come up with a soothing melody on the guitar and her playing has only improved. "Lifetimes" conjures up pleasant echoes of "My Favorite Mistake," while the title song provides a haunting yet relaxing melody to the mind with Crow's edgy vocals singing a tale of love gained then lost with a void still left behind("I don't know why, when I know we're free...free to fly"). Crow said in an interview that most of the songs on this CD are about her period when she was with Lance Armstrong and this collection shows that Crow herself came away from the relationship with a newly found insight on the value of love and commitment and the energies that make those things work effectively. Yes, Crow is hip in looking to the stars, to God, to philosophers, and anything else that has helped her discover her own path to self-awareness. And her insights on the world and what it means to take part and think deep about all things surrounding us like in songs such as "Letter To God," and "Live it Up," are intelligent, realistic, and meaningful. This is definitely Crow's best release to date and the first of all her CD's that I would give five stars. Free Music Review: A Wildflower Is In Bloom

Free Music Review: " Good is Good" and Sheryl's Great

There is nothing like an easy-flowing album that you can start your day with and listen to it thorough to the evening's setting sun. Sheryl Crow has always been a deliverer of soul-ful classic rock and soothing ballards that gets your feet tapping and/or your head swaying side-to-side. My absolute favorites on this album are in this order; "Perfect Lie"; "I know Why (the hearts gets lonely"; "I dont wanna know"; "Good is Good"...It seems I'm inlove with the slow-tempo songs that grate at the very fabric of my soul. But the lively "Live It up" is even still a bit more tammed than her ever-popular "All I wanna do" or even "Steve McQueen" from earlier albums. So in all; this album boasts a more-grown-up Sheryl Crow; with more adult-themed music that truly pleases any true lover of soft rock and banging-soul!! A singer/songwriter/visionary and trailblazer; Sheryl Crow is still well on her way to even greater Greatness!!Free Music Review: the classics just keep coming

I was in 6th grade and 'All I Wanna Do' was a very popular song. Since then every couple years there was another sheryl crow song or two that I could jam to and then she was gone, and then she was back again. Always On Your Side has to be one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, I love the piano hook and melody, not many songs today even have that! Good is good is also a decent song. I think sheryl might be at her artistic and creative peak with this record and it's her most soothing one in my opinion.Free Music Review: Wildflower/Crow
