Free Music Notes for WildflowerFree Music Review: ZZZZzzzzzzz Hit: 2 StarsI've always seen Sheryl Crow as a middle-of-the-road rock artist.
My wife and I got a couple of her disc's, plus that "very best of" CD and was really looking forward to her latest, but this one...zzzzzzzz, makes me wonder what they're putting in Sheryl's coffee.
Some reviewers are saying there's "heart and soul" all over this album?
That may be, but it's also very slick dullsville stuff too.
As for the album cover graphics, I don't see the Roger Dean Yes covers or the 60's style psychedelia like one reviewer wrote, but a very "modern" graphic art that lots of artists and bands have been using. Kelly Clarkson, the Vines, the Donnas, the list goes on.
Highlights: Good is Good (I guess it's time for a new "very best of" collection)
Free Music Review: Wildflower Hit: 5 Stars I donated this CD unopened to an organization that sends "care" packages to military members serving in Iraq or Afghanistan.
I don't know what the music is like, but I do know that somewhere in the middle-east there will be a Soldier, Sailor, Marine, or Airman who will appreciate receiving some mail and listening to some music from back "home".
Free Music Review: Another Good Sing Hit: 5 StarsI put off listening to this CD...Savoring the last...But recently I was asked to go to an upcoming concert and figured I better listen to the latest...It was every bit as good as her other CDs...but mellower..Not the heavy Rock and Roll of old, but music that had me listening to every sentence. I found myself tearing the words apart as if searching for the meaning of LIFE..While I loved the whole CD I keep coming back to "Perfect Lie"...How PERFECT it is...
Free Music Review: Wildflower Hit: 3 StarsI liked it but it was not exciting. I would call it quieting...
Free Music Review: Sheryl Shows Her Spiritual Side .. Letter to God is Fantastic Hit: 5 StarsSherly's "Letter to God" is a great song. I had the good fortune to see her show recently in Dallas. The performance of this song alone was worth the concert ticket in my opinion. In simple handwriting as a big screen backdrop to the stage performance the words "God are you Listening?" are slowly spelled out as if she were writing a letter to a dear friend. Well scripted and the vocals were fantastic. Besides performing a song to the recent movie "Cars", she filled the concert with a few tunes from this album, but one of my favorites "Live it Up" was sadly not included in the live concert. Nevertheless this is a great album ! and I have a feeling she has even better songs yet to write.
My family loves your heartfelt songs the most Sheryl. Keep shining !
