Free Music Review: One of the best bands out there!!!

These guys don't get the respect they deserve. The singer can sing his balls off. He ranks up there with Chris Cornell. The guitarist is very versatile from playing very slow melodic acoustic stuff to balls out metal. The late great Dimebag Darrell took these guys out on the road with him and his band Damageplan. To me that says alot coming from one of the best metal guitarists of all time. JAMES MARSHALL is loves butthole lovers like the Melvins, David Bowie(biggest buttlover), and next he'll say he LOVES the Butthole Surfers....HA! JM wouldn't know what good music is. The trick here is to be able to understand what the singer is saying. Someone who has a very good vocal range. Well the MELVINS don't. And they're songs don't say anything, meaningless garbage. I still can not get 45 out of my head. Its a hauntingly good song. Great hook, great chorus, great song. The rest of the album is not bad either. It has an interesting slightly hard edge to it and the vocals have an airy growly twist to them.
The enhanced content did not play on my system very well at all, choppy and out of sync. I did not care for it.
Fly from the inside is good, burning bright and others are a little slow but at least original. 45 is very good and although they are a little more PC than I might like and havent stretched themselves too much I like it. The one thing I cant stand is the butchery of simple man. I know this song, I love this song, and they do not have the range to cover it. It almost hurts my ears to listen to. In my mp3 collection it is the only song from the album to be deleted so far.

...you'll like this album. This band just doesn't distinguish themselves here and alot of the songs sound too similar to really garner much interest. It's not a horrible album, but it's the conventional Nickelback-sounding style that is unfortunately the norm nowadays.Free Music Review: Well the title is correct.

I won't argue with people. I will just give you my opinion. THIS IS GARBAGE!!!! This is some of the most weak, corporate, made for radio rock I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. They sound like Bon Jovi with heavier guitars. And need to be put to pasture for their hack job on the classic song Simple man.Free Music Review: Open your eyes and see what's outside...

I am hooked with this amazing rock album, Leave A Whisper, by Shinedown. The music sounds so intense and riveting at the same time, espacially the songs, "Burning Bright" and "45". The vocals are what makes this CD a hit...hard emotion all around. I'm glad I came across this album a couple of years ago.
