Free Music Review: OH Percolator!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

The movie was just so cool and the songs so campy and singable. I just had to own this CD. As I write this review, I have the CD playing. It is pure and simple awesomeness. If you liked the movie, pick this up. If you want to hear plain and simple good songs, pick this up. What else can be said about Jessie Harper? She is a beautiful singer. And for that, it is worth buying this CD.

Free Music Review: get 'SHOCK'ed
Hit: 4 Stars

If you like 'Rocky Horror' you'll be into this album.
Maybe not as classic as it's predecessor, but this album does have some catchy numbers, and WIll grow on you.
DEFINATELY also watch the film! Again, not as classic as 'Rocky', but visually a masterpiece.

Free Music Review: An Acquired Taste
Hit: 5 Stars

You have to appreciate the genius that is Richard O'Brien to truly enjoy this soundtrack (and the movie, for that matter), but it's great. Buy it if you care to. Not for the casual experimenter, though.

Excellent!

It's been 25 years since I have seen the movie... The music is as fresh as ever.

Free Music Review: RICHARD O'BRIEN-CRACKPOT OR GENIUS?--YOU DECIDE
Hit: 4 Stars

Is Richard O'Brien a crackpot or a genius is a loaded question since he is both. "Rocky Horror" was straight out genius but "Shock Treatment" nestles comfortably in-between. The music and lyrics when they are not weird, are strange and when not strange, bizarre but in such an oddly appealing way that praising or damning the music defies logical assessment.

Whether one tends to be pro or con vis a vis the music(I am definitely pro) it perfectly matches the movie which is most definitely weird, strange and bizarre but unlike "Rocky Horror"
both the CD and the movie lack the dazzingly lip-smacking performance of Tim Curry as Frank-n-Furter.

As is the soundtrack has many delightfully nutty ditties and this time instead of the vocally challenged Susan Sarandon as Janet her role is sung by Jessica Harper who not only sings much much better but she has an unusually erotic tone in her voice which is a glove perfect fit to the music.

Only gave 4 stars because as a sort of sequel to "Rocky Horror" I still miss Tim.
