Free Music Notes for Our Ill WillsFree Music Review: Flash in the pan Hit: 1 StarsI'm all for influence and building upon the work of others, but these guys simply ripped off "In Between Days" by the Cure and called in their own. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CgWhNSD3KI
Free Music Review: Influenced but Very Original Hit: 5 StarsYou'll definitely hear a close similarity in vocals to the Cure's Robert Smith and also his pop sensibilities on the surface. But the songs are definitely top notch with more melodic focus than the Cure and worth a listen.
I was really surprised on how well the songs are amazingly arranged and polished. Violins, piano, and xylophone tracks replace the rock distortion in Howl Gaff but it's no snoozer with some excellent druming. There's a nice variety of quality songs and there's very little filler.
It's a great little gem that's off the radar of most people. You'll find some great melodic songs for that lazy Sunday.
Free Music Review: A Must Have!!! Hit: 5 StarsI have not stopped listening to this CD since I purchased it---every song is
great. If you like pop---you'll love this set of tunes!
Free Music Review: Lovely and fresh Hit: 4 StarsOrdered this diddy up the day of release from Amazon. Obviously heavily influenced by The Cure. Pick this up today. A garage band with unlimited potential. Did I mention to pick this up ASAP?
Free Music Review: A little letdown Hit: 4 StarsAs a huge fan of Howl Howl Gaff Gaff, I was looking forward to this release probably more than anything else that has come out recently. And though I do like it I find that it is slightly a let down when compared to their previous release. But after several listens and trying to listen to it without comparing it to the first, I found that it is still a really good album though I could have done without the Cure similarities.
