Free Music Review: My Speakers are Bleeding!

Although tabbed as a tech death band, Sickening Horror to me is more of a brutal/experimental death metal band. There is nothing overly 'catchy' here, just plain old pummelling death metal sound with interesting licks, riffs, and solos thrown in to break apart what could have been monotony.
They do seem to have a pretty good drummer, although I hear he is no longer with the band. George Kollias is better than 'pretty good' though. He's amazing. Perhaps you've heard the work he's done with Nile? Well, he's right on par with that here.
Reviews of both albums from this band have been mix and match. I wasn't sure I was going to buy it, but I made a snap decision and gave it a try, and I'm glad I did. There are a couple of other Greek bands I like, but I wasn't sure about this one to start.
This album goes through a lot of time changes and breakdowns, but if you are a fan of technical death metal, what else is new? I can definitely see this album growing on me. Next comes the task of picking up Dead End Experiment! When Landscapes Bled Backwards absorbs 4.4/5 stars. Excellent!
