First I must tell that I am a very big fan of Joe Strummer and the Pogues. This soundtrack had all the potentials to be great ... but it's not.
I really love Dum Dum Club of Joe Strummer, and his Love Kills is not bad at all, even Haunted by the Pogues, sang by Cait O'Riordan is probably the best track on the album though totally different from anything that the Pogues, ever released. I love John Cale's She Never Took No For An Answer. About I wanna Be Your Dog and My Way sang by Gary Oldman ... It would be better if they would use originals. Songs from Pray For Rain are incidental music. Though not bad ... but you can survive without it. And I do not know why including Steve Jones' Pleasure and Pain. This soundtrack's biggest sin is that it doesn't have the atmospere of the movie.

Though iam not a fan of the movie considering the lies it holds i enjoy this cd alot. It's just good quality music, a bit of romance as well. I especially enjoyed Joe Strummer's songs (of course i would since he's from the Clash). My two favorite songs on it though are "Haunted" by the Pogues & "Love Kills" by the Circle Jerks. i wouldn't recommend this if u are a Punk & are weirded out by different types of music but if u're open to other types of music buy Sid and Nancy.Free Music Review: The "Pray For Rain" instrumentals are why I bought this album.

C'mon, anyone out there who would agree with me that watching this film was an "experience"? (I know.) The four "Pray For Rain" songs were the reasons I bought the CD. (And I bought it from Amazon and got it within three days).
I actually bought it 'cause of the last song, which turned out to be "Taxi to Heaven". Found out that the other tracks I liked were from "Pray For Rain". Great CD. I recommend it.
