Free Music Review: Oh Sid.....we hardly knew ye.

Sid Vicious is the greatest Greek tradgedy rock n roll has to offer. While subjected to the harsh world, this innocent pup was fed to the wolves. But above all, Sid was a survivor. His talent speaks for itself as you listen to the haunting voice of a scared little boy dealing with all the problems of adulthood.
His version of 'My Way' should have been the closing song on the album. Seriously, what better song to end this album? With his heart on his sleeve, he sang a song that Johny Rotten wouldn't have the nerve to do. His version of Belsen is better than the Sex Pistols original too. If only he had covered 'Anarchy in the UK' as well. We are also awed by his cover of Iggy's 'I Wanna be your Dog'. It's even better than Joan Jett's version from 1989's 'Up Your Alley'.
Sid Vicious could not play bass, but he was only 21, in time he could have mastered the instrument and even recorded guitar and piano. His voice lends favor and in time would have only developed to be more and more beautiful. The world will never know of Sid's true potential. We are only left with what could have been. I can only hope that wherever Sid is, he's happy and still beating up Nancy.
