Free Music Review: And Now It's Over...
Hit: 4 Stars

This album is good, so tight, it's just kinda sad in a way that this will never
be created again. This album is far better than anything Spineshank ever put out.
But there is a pattern here...
The reason this album sounds so diff't along with Santo's vocals is the GUITARS.
Tim Mankowski the lead guitarist on this was with Santos prior to Spineshank
in Basic Enigma. These two have a vibe kinda like the pairing of Hetfield and Mustaine
for energy, yet melody a flow with the trading of solos like Maiden.
Their individual styles was a great pairing.
I'd be interested in anything Tim Mankowski puts out down the road.
Haven't heard leads like that since, well "back in the day".
But this line-up collectively did an excellent job on this recording.
They should all be proud. -Doug

Free Music Review: TEMPLE OF METALMANIA
Hit: 5 Stars

If you are a fan of spineshank and jonny and want something heavier this is the cd you should get jonny's screams where great in spineshank but in here there even more brutal. You won't find any of that nu metal stuff here sorry nu metallers. This is great heavy metal great guitars, screams, and everything else of brutal metal but i agree what's with HEY so much still awesome anyway.I admit i was a fan of spineshank(still am)but they sounded more like techno metal than NU they really don't sound much like nu metal to me.Well enough of that trust me this album is a really awesome debut for silent civilian nice metalcore and thrash not a trash fan but when it's mixed with screams it's brutal man.OH OH I JUST TAUGHT OF SOMETHING IF THEY HAVE TRASH AND METALCORE MIX IN YOU KNOW WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN IN THEIR NEXT ALBUM.THEY MIGHT BECOME THE NEXT TRIVIUM IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN PLEASE DON'T,KEEP THE HEAVY SCREAMS MAN!

Free Music Review: Highly recommended album!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I was a huge fan of Spineshank and I was sad when I heard they had disbanded. Silent Civilian came to be a really good surprise to me. Although I bought their album solely because it was Santo's new band it has nothing in common with Spineshank aside from being sung by the same vocalist. This is metal in its purest form!! It may sound like other popular metalcore bands but I think these guys are making what I'm calling one of the most inspired materials created in the last few years in the metal scene. Rebirth Of The Temple is a collection of fast, aggressive, and politically driven songs that will make everybody's veins filled with a rush of adrenalin. My favorite bands are Meshuggah, Fear Factory, Soilwork, and Silent Civilian has surely made its way into my best of best list. I'm really happy for Johnny for him having returned in such great inspiration and I'm already looking forward for their new album.

Free Music Review: Pure Metal is back, Silent Civilian proves it
Hit: 5 Stars

If you think this is some kind of new wave of metal bullcrap, then go elsewhere. If you're looking for that nu-metal sound, then pop in an In Flames CD or something. Silent Civilian is the screaming, bruising, shredding proof that metal still exists, complete with guitar solos and lyrics that blow your mind.

Right from the eerie intro, to the epic guitars in "The Song Remains Un-Named," right through "Bitter Pill" to the closing called "Live Again," this CD will blow you away as you re-assure youself that this was released at a time where OzzFest began to sell out.

In addition to the songs previously mentioned, this debut album from Johnny Santos' new project has other highlights, like "Lies in the House of Shame," which in addition to heavy guitar and drum power, also has cryptic yet meaningful lyrics about our own foundations.

Then we're taken to "Wrath," my personal favorite. The song just flat-out rocks, and that's just a tip in this iceberg. "Falling Down" brings back the thrash sound of their inspirations, including their earliest, iron Maiden.

Actually, every song on this album is great on its own right. If you're still reading this, why haven't you bought it?
