Free Music Notes for Diorama

Free Music Review: top shelf scotch...
Hit: 5 Stars

Excellent. plain & simple. these guys sound very confident, strong, and polished. a great mix of Zeppelin, Aussie rock/pop, grungeydirgeyguitar, 60s beatlbeachboypop w/great heavy guitar & drums, yessish/floydish in places, the list goes on...with acoustic piano, horns, percussion, & strings thrown in the mix. this is top shelf stuff the way everyhting has an integrated feel. The album encompasses many styles, moods, colors... but with an understanding of where the colors belong on the painting.

Its interesting about those who have the negative critism. When one looks at what they like, they dont like much at all, yet they buy an entire groups catalgue and say that "they cant find a style that they are confident with". It seems they couldnt please from the get go. If the group then falls under playing good "dark" stuff, then they get a high rating. what gives luvvy? Does all music that fits to wearing a cape & cowl, or wallowing in the mire, the only good music? Hey i like Neil Gaiman too but lets be a little diverse shall we? Ev'n good ol' Neil and various breeds of rats live above ground...once in awhile(smiles).

If you like fungus in your milk who am I to stop ya...

Free Music Review: This made my day :)
Hit: 5 Stars

i've been a silverchair fan since the beginning...and i do mean the beginning...i feel like i've ridden whatever wave of ridicule i might have received for being a fan for so long. so i feel like i can honestly say that is this album is really amazing. it is nothing like past albums...yes, it is simialar to neon ballroom...cos i believe you can kinda see how they were "getting there" with their sound, and now, i think they are acutally there. the sound is huge and can fill an entire room, the colors are vibrant...i really couldn't believe it was silverchair. for the first time, i didn't think to myself...this sounds similar to x...i think this sounds like silverchair...it's kinda like incubus...they were good in the past, but if i wanted to listen to faith no more...i'd just get their album. incubus came into their own (and kick [butt]), much as silverchair has. silverchair stopped imitating what they heard and started creating a sound that expressed what they were trying to convey.

yeah okay, so all lofty words aside...this album is so good. it is musically diverse and completely whole. i think this album would totally surprise many anti-silverchair peeps. it's lovely. you should buy it :)

Free Music Review: inspirational art of masterpeice
Hit: 5 Stars

Diorama is the best album i have ever heard in my entire life. I almost forgot about silverchair until i seen them couple months ago at MTV during a show tribute to kurt cobain and nirvana. Thats when i remember of neon ballroom that i have sold at a local music store. I went back to the store to purchase neon ballroom and thats when i found that they have a new album. I bought both neon ballroom and diorama. Diorama is a new sound by silverchair. It is melodic, atmospheric, warm, intense, and inspirational. It is an album that i can listen to for escaping reality (forgetting everything) and just let myself be taken through the journey of this magical album. Daniel's voice is lovely and warm that sums up to the outstanding orchestra that fills up the new sound of silverchair. The lyrics is deep and insightful that match the greatness of the album. All of the songs are masterpeice and flows very well from begging to end. Big props to daniel johns and all of the people who help in creating the album because the album is just a pure gem and a well-worthied gift to all of us. One of my favorite song in the album is tuna in the brine (magical song). BUY THIS ALBUM (HIGHLY RECOMENDED).

Free Music Review: Its so good I'm writing another review
Hit: 5 Stars

Okay, so I have to admit: you either love this album, or you hate it. But if you enjoy music that can transform and take you on a journey to a completely different time and place - this is the one. While subtle connections to Silverchair's earlier songs (especially "Petrol and Chlorine," "Miss you Love" and "Emotion Sickness") are present, those of us who purchased Frogstomp in 7th grade and now go out and buy "Diorama" as 22 or 23 year olds SHOULD be prepared for a change. I mean, what can one expect; haven't you changed since you were 14?

I think it is important to note that just about anyone who thinks and feels deeply, occasionally provoking the need for a musical journey, will LOVE this album. "My Favourite Thing" is one of the most beautiful songs ever written, and I know that I can't listen to it without closing my eyes and cutting myself off from everything around me. Now that's intense.

Are you ready for this? Buy the album, put it in your CD player, lie down on your bed, close your eyes, and GO. You won't be disappointed.

PS - If you like it, check out "The Dissociatives" - Johns' new project with Paul Mac.

Free Music Review: Silverchair is at the top of the game
Hit: 5 Stars

Most albums today are either forgetable or take a while to sink in. That is not the case with Diorama. I have been a Silverchair since their hit song Freak, and admit that they seemed to just be another grunge band, but with this album they have truly shown that they are one of the best bands in the world. Diorama is album of the year. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster from start to end. every song is deep and catchy. The album is very earnest and at the same time it will rock you. This album would have been the one to shut up the critics and gain them acceptence into the US mainstream since they have already been labled a two hit wonder by MTV if daniel wouldn't have gotten sick. The only dissapointing thing about the album is that they released for songs on their cd singles(hollywod, ramble, pins in my needles, and asylum) and after hearing those songs the vibe goes with that of diorama so after u hear them, you won't be able to listen to diorama without feeling that it's not complete. Thats how good this album and all the songs associated with them are.Every song is awesome and every week i have a favorite song.I demand everyone get this album, cause it's a masterpiece.
