Free Music Review: A sense of maturity, with defining big Rock still pumping!

With Silverchair's 3rd release, this Aussie rock band really gives you a sense of their maturity. All the songs on this album still have the Silverchair sound, but are more musical, and orchestral giving a mature feel. Anthem for the Year 2000, the first single, is a pure concert 'play it loud' type of song. Vibrant lyrics and an undeniable beat make this a no-brainer hit. The first track, Emotion Sickness, really has some feeling to it - relying on David Helfgott (subject of the movie 'Shine') on piano for an emotional twist. All in all, Neon Ballroom aims to please and should definately be a Silverchair must have. - SG
