Free Music Notes for Bookends
Free Music Review: Masterwork. It's not the best edition.

This is really a materwork. I will do some comments about the recording itself. I usually buy japanese editions, beacause they are beautiful mini-lp editions in many cases and the sound is usually better than the USA or european edition. It is not the case. Both the "old friends" and "the columbia studio recordings 1964-1970" sound clearly better. The remaster done by Vic Anesini is really superb, and something is lost in the japanese edition (in theory the same remaster). My recomendation would be "the columbia studio recordings", it sounds fantastic, you have all the titles in beautiful mini-lp editions and the price is now very good.
