Free Music Notes for Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit - Songs From The Motion Picture SoundtrackFree Music Review: Fun, Fun, Fun Hit: 5 Stars
This is simply a fun album to play. We hear it a lot because my wife loves it and she loves to sing. She has a good voice and often uses this album as a warm-up before singing. The opening medley is lively and constantly changing (medleys tend to do that, but not as fun as this one). "Oh Happy Day" is fun to sing-along to, especially if you have seen the movie. They dynamics and voice control on "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" are awesome. The "Ode to Joy" is like "Boston Public" meets Saint Olaf's Choir. Followed by "Joyful, Joyful" will get you off your feet, clapping your hands and stomping your feet. Even Whoopi Goldberg does a decent job in "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". If you love to sing, you must get this album (and should watch the movie, too). If you like upbeat songs or gospel songs, certainly give this album a try.
Free Music Review: Great Movie - Editor is Wrong Hit: 5 Stars
Obviously, Geoffrey Himes has not even watched this film, because his statements are incorrect.
Ms. Whoopi Goldberg does not even sing in most of these songs. Other people do, and in the movie she `directs' the music rather than singing. She didn't `massacre' those classics --- she didn't even sing in them. And by the way, when she did sing in her Vegas show 'clips' she was wonderful.
And the music, as is the movie, is uplifting and wonderful entertainment for the whole family. The choir, the nuns, the kids, all sing wonderfully.
I really don't know what the "editor" in the editorial reviews was thinking when he wrote that review. He probably had someone else watch it for him. His loss. This is a great movie and good soundtrack.
Free Music Review: It has really touched many persons lives deeply. Hit: 5 Stars
The soundtrack is great. Everyone who sang in the movie has a lot of talent. This website would have more visitors and customers if it provided the lyrics;not only to the song "Pay Attention", but all of them. I know a lot of my friends and others have tried to find the lyrics and can't. Also, I already have the soundtrack(Cassette) and there were no lyrics with it. I really want to sing "Pay Attention" at graduation because my fellow classmates need to hear it and it might change their prospective on life. I know it has changed my prospective on life and some of my friends as well. This is a great soundtrack and I recommend it to any music lover like me. I hope you will continue with this website because it does provide a lot of information. Thank you.
Free Music Review: One of The Great Soundtracks... Hit: 5 Stars
Back in the day Sister Act 2 was one of my favorites because it represented the struggle to rise up and overcome adversity and doubt and excel...something we needed coming out the ghetto. Hope. The soundtrack was definitely a fun 'sing - along' type of thing since I already knew all the songs from watching the movie so much anyway. Notable singers that were on the album include Ryan Toby of City High fame, Tanya Blount, and the great Lauryn Hill. Granted that outside the movie I would rarely listen to these songs but that's exactly why this is a soundtrack. When I feel like reminiscing about a movie or something I just pop in the soundtrack. Still a great soundtrack with very memorable songs. 5 Stars.
Free Music Review: I love the music, presents a positive image. Hit: 5 Stars
I am interested in performing the song, His Eye Is on The Sparrow, at my high school graduation. When I purchased the sheet music book at a music store after spending a considerable amount of time trying to find a store that had it, I went home and realized that the book had only a condensed version of the song that was performed on the Soundtrack. It had only the verse and the chorus once. On the soundtrack, there was the verse, the chorus, a key change, etc. Send me an e-mail explaining any prices and other information that will allow me to get this music, exactly the way it was performed. Then I will decide whether I will purchase the music if it is available.
